Heat Description

Academy Award-winners Robert DeNiro ('Showtime,' 'Analyze This') and Al Pacino ('Insomnia,' 'Any Given Sunday') -- together for the first time since 'The Godfather Part II' -- head a stellar cast in this taut psychological drama about an obsessive detective and a brilliant thief whose fates are linked in the aftermath of a high-stakes securities heist.

Pacific Heat is an animated comedy series based on the exploits of a dynamic unit of undercover police investigators. Set on the glitzy Gold Coast where sun and surf meets soaring crime rates,

The Gold Coast. Glamorous, sophisticated, a sun-drenched paradise. But beneath the coconut oil lies a hot-bed of crime. Everyone from drug smugglers and bikie gangs to radical eco-extremists and the person who invented frozen yoghurt. In order to tackle this seedy underbelly police authorities established a special unit. Known as "Pacific Heat", this covert squad of highly trained operatives technically does not exist (although, for tax purposes, they do have an A.B.N.) but when there's a crime that simply must be solved the ‘Pac Heat' team will be there. Unconventional, uncompromising and with an arrest rate second to none, these guys are not afraid to operate outside the law – provided at least one of them is wearing a fluorescent safety vest.

Legendary film. The acting is superb, and the script is one of a kind. A timeless, incredibly intense viewing experience. Amazing sound editing. A classic & always recommended.
  • Best film

    Full action
  • BEST Crime Movie EVER!!!

It doesn't get any better than this! Two of the best actors DeNiro & Pacino, at the top of their game. The entire cast was excellent. Another outstanding Michael Mann movie. Probably his best ever.

I decided to watch this movie. I thought cool heist movie. No. I was pretty bad. A long drawn out movie. The heist was weak. It really didn't live up the hype I thought it would. I don't recommend this.
  • Possibly the best crime thriller since The French Connection

    I heart Limburger
This movie is a must-have. Many films today borrowed the filmmaking style, such as The Dark Knight, and don't do it better. This movie had the best cast of 1995, with every role played by a star or character actor. It's not only immense in its plot symmetries, but has a lot of morals, symbolism and depth. The research put into this film is remarkable, and its probably the very biggest improvement a remake has on an original film. This film has one of the best plots, best casts, and is incredibly dense and re watchable, and keeps you coming back, always to discover more each time you watch. It's debatable as to whether it's better than The French Connection, The Fugitive, or some Hitchcock stuff, but it's definitely the most refined crime thriller I've ever seen, and has very little flaws, if any.
  • EPIC

One of the best films ever made with top cast. De Niro, Pacino and Kilmer gave great performances. Action, great backstory and supporting cast.
  • Most underrated movie of all time

This movie is a masterpiece. I'm a big fan of all of Michael Mann's work but this one is his very best. Everything about this movie is outstanding--the acting, the score, the brilliant use of color, the drama and the storytelling. This story reflected a cultural shift in the mid 90s back to the antihero. I tell people that if you weren't rooting for the bad guys in this movie you have no blood in you. I don't want to spoil anything for those who may not have seen it but I will just say that Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer were awesome and this movie made Michael Mann my favorite director. Give this movie a chance...you will not be disappointed.
