Oscar nominee Tim Roth is riveting as Hank Harris, a U.S. agent out to bust an international arms-smuggling racket. While attempting an arrest, Hank is overpowered by a young Mexican gunrunner (Kristyan Ferrer), who makes a fateful decision to smuggle Hank into Mexico and deliver him to his crime bosses. As the two enemies begin a tense journey into the heart of deadly cartel country, they are suddenly bound in a desperate fight for survival in this taut, suspense-charged thriller.
Arnulfo Rubio smuggles weapons from Arizona to Mexico for a drug cartel, but he is being investigated by agent Harris. When agent Harris blows his covers, he and Arnulfo end up in a journey where he will be the hostage of this young criminal.

1hour too long.Much of movie is very slow and drawn out dialogue. Which is fine for a while, but the point where you think the movie is about to start to get some action and get going, it ends. The most disappointing end I've seen in a looong time. I'd ask for my money back, even if it was on Netflix..Score: 1/5

Lots of negative reviews, but (spoilers)...I realize a lot of people didn't care for this movie. And that's fine. But I think someone should try to defend it. It's certainly not an all-time great, but the ending puts everything in perspective. This film is similar in feel to Sicario, but obviously had a smaller budget. It's also similar to Animal Kingdom, the Australian crime film. It lacks a big cast, and largely focuses on two people: a fed and his contact, who has been forced into being a contact. The thing that makes the ending so jaw-dropping is that the whole movie has been spent playing up the closeness that our main protagonist (the contact) has with his newfound friend. For about 80 minutes, we think that Tim Roth is actually starting to care for the main character. There's a sort of father-and-son kind of relationship there. We then learn that, not only has Tim Roth been playing the kid; he's been playing the audience, too. He doesn't care about the kid, and dumps him out in the middle of the desert in order to keep him quiet. And what's even more shocking is that, almost immediately after sentencing the poor kid to death, he returns home to his family and eats breakfast as if nothing ever happened. I'm sure that there's some kind of political statement involved there... I never cared for politically charged films, so I generally tend to ignore them. As a pure piece of storytelling, this film is incredibly distubring in the best way. I realize that it might not be for everyone: it's slow, focuses on pointed visuals, and action/silence-driven character building that can lend to a view of this film being ssomewhat boring. And I get that. But if you prefer your thrillers in an art-house style, I can definitely recommend it..Score: 4/5
Don't trust Rotten Tomatoes! The majority of the show was Tim Roth and the mexican kid in a vehicle talking about nothing. I did not care at all about any of the characters. The cover for the movie is also very misleading. Three guns on the cover and almost no action at all! I rented this based on the 93% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Never again! The best thing about this movie, it was only 85 minutes long! If it had been 90 minutes, I may have shot myself!.Score: 1/5

Wish I had read the reviews@This tomato meter is so unreliable!. as @ducati_man said, this movie is slow and does a lot to setup for a great climax, as in you are expeciting some amazing action, and the movie ends. I misread the movie description shown and thought the movie is about two enemies / gangs in mexico. But I think the enemies in this movie are the mexican gangs and the US, which I think is a lame way to describe the movie. I want my 99cents back :(.Score: 1/5
