Academy Award® nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star in this haunting romantic thriller from acclaimed writer/director Tom Ford (A Single Man). Susan (Amy Adams) is living through an unfulfilling marriage when she receives a package containing a novel manuscript from her ex-husband, Edward (Jake Gyllenhaal). The novel is dedicated to her but its content is violent and devastating. Susan cannot help but reminisce over her past love story with the author. Increasingly she interprets the book as a tale of revenge, a tale that forces her to re-evaluate the choices that she has made, and reawakens a love that she feared was lost. Also starring Armie Hammer and Michael Shannon, NOCTURNAL ANIMALS is a thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension.

Susan Morrow receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband – a man she left 20 years earlier – asking for her opinion of his writing. As she reads, she is drawn into the fictional life of Tony Hastings, a mathematics professor whose family vacation turns violent.

Worth itIt's a story within a story beautifully written and acted out. Definitely more of a psychological drama than anything else. A wasted opportunity to make a great film!This is weird. All the pieces to make a great movie...a nice budget obviously...great acting talent...cinematography...what happened? I knew something was wrong the first few seconds of the movie. I kind of establish that you are going to be so dissapointed! His friends must of written those raving reviews. It's kind a like when the movie critic say it's a must see...run! The film makers obviously did not communicate with each other...they would of caught it in editing. Could be the worst movie ever...Why watch a movie like this when you could get a root canal without medication? A healthy, beautiful person could not enjoy or learn anything of value from this movie. I liked this movie.Jake is very talented, love the movies he’s in. I don’t know why some didn’t understand the movie. Boy and girl are together, girl dumps boy. Finds out her husband is cheating. Reads the book, it’s disturbing to her. They are going to meet, he stands her up. Loved it!! She got what’s coming to her. The longer she sat there the more I loved it. MrNo tail, no logic, no reason. All in the name of its "dark". Well its more like "dumb" but just coz its Tom Ford, i dare not say that coz if he made it then it must be smart. So, I guess it is smart but if i dont get it, I must be an idiot. It doesnt get better just coz you pour loads of sickness into it. These two hours wasted will never come back but yeah go right ahead. In the end when she is sitting alone in the restaurant, dont expect it to magically reveal a big mystery. Coz there isnt any. Its the worst movie ever PERIOD. But wait, if you watch it through the brand new Tom Fords for Donkey shades then its ok.Critik101Score: 1/5

Karma is a B****Visually striking and beautiful imagery in this movie.. I could have enjoyed just that. But then there is also these interesting morals about how you shouldn't give up on love... and how weakeness could be mistaken by unhapiness... how the ego loves the comfort above all and can't take to live in the unknown...As for the last scene well that was well deserved.A.
