Assassin's Creed Movie Reviews

  • Confusing

The only reason I understood the movie is because I played the video games. Anyone else who is completely new to the franchise would be completely confused and disoriented. This movie did not meet my expectations. The biggest disappointment is that they used Spanish speaking characters in a setting that was best suited for Arabic. Horrible use of a setting, horrible story telling, and horrible incorporation of action scenes
  • I liked it

I enjoyed this the effects were awesome. You can see the enegery and money they poured into this and it's fun to watch.
  • Great movie... But could be better!

Honestly this movie is great, but it was kind of hard to see. Most of the time this movie is filmed dark. You literally have to either be close to your tv or have binoculars to see it well. Great story though, they have done it really well. I still think they could of made it a little bit lighter and easier to see, other than that great. In my opinion the video game is better than to movie of course.
  • Loyal to the game

Obviously not historically accurate, but like all myths it carries some powerful food for thought. Almost political, and yet a thrilling experience to watch.
  • Wouldn't recommend

Love the game series but didn't enjoy the movie. I expected some more action in the assassin world. Do not waste money to watch this money
  • Use Rotton Tomatoes in Reverse

I've started to use Rotton Tomatoes again... but in reverse. Low votes from these liberal critics usually means its an entertaining movie that DOES NOT promote their agendas. Fine by me! There is a creationist undertone with the Assassin's Creed concept and likely why the ciritics down voted it. That asside, It's actually really entertaining and does a good job of feeling like the games. Watch it. Should it have 90% from Rotten Tomatoes? no. But the current rating of 17% is bogus. Watch it, you'll see.

This had me from the 1st 15 min. I just HAD to see it. Glad I watched this. The Rotten Tomatoes given are unwarrented.
  • Exactly What It Was Supposed To Be

They got this one right. On so many levels it's absurd. Fassbender knocked this one out the park but that's not really saying anything at this point. The games have always had a story serve as the driving force behind everything you are doing so it's no surprise and no disservice to fans that this movie followed suit. Making this movie an action fest would've missed the point entirely so I'm glad they went the route they did. Not to mention for all the crying people were doing over the supposed 70 present 30 past format, quite a bit of this movie focuses on the past. The ONLY gripe I had was the last part felt rushed after everything they had given proper time to through out the movie. Almost as if they were afraid to make this movie longer than it was. True fans of this picture (I mean look at the fan reviews) would've gladly watched this one last a bit longer for a proper finale. I honestly regret not taking the time to properly support this when it was in theatres. Also this movie had one of the best scores I've ever heard in a film. By far. See this one for yourself and be your own judge.
  • Actually a 3.5

This is a good movie, nothing great but good. I'd definitely recommend it to a fan of the games but I'm not a huge fan of the games but love the universe they've created with the series. For a fan it's probably a 4 or 5 out of 5 but for everyone else a 3 but for people like myself, a 3.5 sounds right.
