Revisionist historyThis "current line-up of the once great band CHICAGO" approved and financed documentary is a total hatchet job of Denny Serriphine and Peter Cetera. It is pure self aggrandizement and a disservice to legacy of one of Americas best rock n roll bands. There is an epic story to be told here-and this AINT it. A real disappointment amid some inarguably great footage and music. Ultimately a misfire on all counts. Caveat emptor..Score: 2/5

Excellent Rock DocThis is an excellent documentary about Chicago and comes highly recommended to anyone who is a fan of the band as well as those who know nothing about them. I didn't know anything about the band before seeing this film and I feel like I know who they are as people now. Those who know the story already will be able to see the way the band members felt every step of the way through their 50 year history..Score: 5/5

Cinematic and EngagingRich and cinematic look at the history of one of my favorite rock bands. Loved the scope of the story and that it didnā€™t just end in the late 70s like the previous Chicago behind the music. It has all the real music and most of the band members, though cetera didnā€™t participate. Highly recommend..Score: 5/5

One Sided HistoryThis documentary is just fine up until the departure of co-founder Danny Seraphine. That's when the remaining originals give their side of "history." The way Danny and long-time member Bill Champlin are treated is shameful. Robert and the three horn players tell a good story here, but it's an incomplete history of this incredible American band..Score: 3/5

Sadly one-sidedIt would have had a lot more credibility if it wasn't produced by someone in the keyboard players family. As usual, the band is quick to only credit the horns players, Bobby Lamm, and the late, great Terry Kath with being most responsible for the bands success. Forgetting that they actually had one of the best drummers and tenor singing bass players walking the face of the earth at that time. They speak with such distain for the David Foster/Peter Cetera era, yet probably would not be working today had the two of them totally revived the band with their songwriting and Peter's singing. For anyone who appreciates both the 80's and 70's eras of Chicago's music, I would not recommend this..Score: 1/5

Band of what ā€œbrothersā€?I found this to be nothing more than 2 hours of relentless slandering of former band mates whoā€™s name isn't Terry. Those that declined to participate were wise after seeing how petty and vindictive their former ā€œbrothersā€ still are. To his credit, Peter Cetera took the high road declining both this crockumentary as well as the RRHOF. Perhaps someday both he and Danny can write their own documentary to right a few wrongs that accompanied this garbage..Score: 1/5

The Last Band on Stage summary, synopsis, reviews
The Last Band on StageDocumentary2022

The Last Band on Stage tells the unbelievable story of how the band Chicago has lasted 55 years without stopping recording or missing a year of touring. Narrated by Joe Mantegna, the film follows how Chicago dealt with COVID-19, and how the only thing that could stop the band from touring was a worldwide pandemic that stopped everyone. Incredibly, Chicago was literally the last band on stage before worldwide shutdowns began. The film also chronicles the recording of their new album as well as the song ā€œIf This Is Goodbye.ā€ The creation of the song leads to the bandā€™s realization that they will eventually have to stop. The Last Band on Stage is a celebration of the American musical institution known as Chicago, featuring candid interviews and footage that show the band in their humanity and musical genius that has inspired millions for over half a century.

FAT: A Documentary summary, synopsis, reviews
FAT: A DocumentaryDocumentary2019

FAT tells the far-fetched but completely true history of how our country became so unhealthy. In 1970, just over 1. 5 million people had been diagnosed with Diabetes in the United States. Now over 30 million have Diabetes. What's even more alarming is that 100 million people, 1 in 3, have Diabetes or are Pre-Diabetic. This is not to mention the 40% of the population that are obese. How is this possible with the non-stop flow of new diets, exercise machines and our general obsession with health and weight loss? We're as unhealthy as ever. The truth is that we have pretty much had everything completely upside-down and backwards. FAT traces a detailed history spanning 150 years to show how misinformation and outright lies have become "truth. "

Using the story of the Red Star Line as a narrative vessel, this three-part documentary by DaniĆ«l Cattier and Fabio Wuytack explains why European emigrants left their homes behind for an uncertain future. It details their trips to Antwerp, their travel across the ocean, and their adjustments to their new lives in America. Theirs are intimate yet epic journeys in which past and present merge in the forging of new identities. The film, which is shot on location in Antwerp, New York, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and Ukraine, uses ā€˜emotional archaeologyā€™ to weave a richer narrative than could be conveyed through a string of facts and figures. And walking in the footsteps of Red Star Line passengers, surprising similarities are revealed to the experiences of modern immigrants.
