Table 19 Movie Reviews

  • Funny

    Love it.
  • Great cast, poor movie

    Steve Allen
I really want to like this movie. It has a great cast, but it is just not that good.
  • It was good.

Table 19 was a pretty good movie. Anna Kendrick and Lisa Kudrow did amazing in the roles. I recommend it.
  • Despite all the negative reviews....

I loved this movie. I thought it was thoughtful, charming, and entertaining. This doesn't have to be movie of the year to be a great movie. The characters were believable and funny, and the plot really makes you feel lighthearted and giddy. There was a deeper meaning that unraveled with the story of each character. Life doesn't always happen the way you believe it will. If you take your head out of your ***hole, you might just enjoy it.
  • Not funny

I liked the beginning. I liked the dance scene between Anna Kendrick and the Huck guy. But everything else was lame. The plot was predictable. And just really bad. The jokes weren't funny at all.
  • Good

    Good indie movie! Original
  • Poignant and amazing

    Spin Alley
Whoever made the trailer for this film - and put it in the comedy genre - did it a major disservice. It's not the quirky romantic comedy you might be expecting. It's actually a rather touching story about a random group of people, each with some obstacle, who end up helping each other and forming friendships. It's a really great film, and if you've enjoyed other works from the Duplass brothers you'll love this one too.
  • Not a actual comedy

Ok so I hate when movies classify themselves as a comedy. A lot of movies are guilty of that. I also hate when the trailers mislead that it's suppose to be a good laughable romantic movie. Instead it was a depressing movie. I felt like they spent too much time telling a bunch of not needed side stories to their main story. Which is two people are together for two years. Then find out that Anna Kendrick's character is preggers, and they aren't sure they'll be good parents. The rest just wasted my money on renting this movie. I expected to laugh and had to fight shutting the movie off not even halfway through. I should have followed my first instinct and not rented it. But it was that "well I've seen everything else" desperation to watch something kinda day lol. This is just my opinion, but hey who knows some of you out there may like a depressing movie. To each their own 😁👍🏼
  • Strange, but I liked it

I have no idea how I rented this movie. I think I rented something else, but through some programming error, I ended up with this. It's not something I ever would have rented. EVER. But... I watched it. It wasn't the greatest movie I've seen, not even in the top 10 or 100 (I've seen a lot of movies), but I actually enjoyed it very much. Cool twists of fortune, unusual comic ideas, well-acted parts, and pain I could relate to. Just everyday people experincing the pain in their lives and bonding over it. I liked it. If you have a rainy evening, with or without a date, consider this movie; don't pay attention to the Rotten Tomato reviews, which have grown to accept only a certain kind of movie, anyway. There are good movies that aren't lilke those. Ignore those folks unless that's what you've gotta have. Sometimes the ones that slide under the door are the ones that while away the hours and make you feel better. And I liked the dog, too.
  • Ignore rotten tomatoes

This was a fun sweet indie flick! Definitely worth watching on a Sunday afternoon. I'd watch it again!
