Scarlett Johansson stars in the visually stunning Ghost in the Shell, an action-packed adventure set in a future world where people are enhanced with technology. In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. When a highly-wanted hacker known as 'The Puppetmaster' begins involving them in politics, Section 9, a group of cybernetically enhanced cops, are called in to investigate and stop the Puppetmaster.

Take out your expectationsThis movie adaptation is good, i took out all my expectations and just watched the movie. It didn't disappoint in the pacing, CGI and acting. The story wasn't onpoint but watch this alongside Blade Runner, original GITS, I robot, Metropolis, and all movies that has Robots, Humans and Androids..Score: 5/5
Surprisingly GoodGiven Hollywood’s current track record at live action adaptations of popular Japanese animations ie Gundam, Dragon Ball, Tank Girl, Death Note I wasn’t expecting to be blown away because of my love for the original manga. But from beginning to end I literally had goosebumps. It wasn’t a exact carbon copy of the manga but it had a lot of similar imagery. I thought it was a relief to see a Japanese manga play out so well. The cast all did good jobs. I wish the song at the beginning was switch with the song in the credits. I sat through the credits to hear the haunting yet mesmerizing remake of the original by Kenji Kawai. Seriously this movie was surprisingly good. I have watched it numerous times..Score: 5/5
One Of The Best MoviesNo matter how many times I watch this movie, it will never get old. The action scenes are amazing. When there's a sad scene, even though there's not many, they had me crying but that just may be because I'm a a very emotional person. All in all I think you shoul watch this movie, espcially if you love Scarlett Johansson, like I do :).Score: 5/5

I was prepared to hate this because of the whitewashing controversy but I was surprised by how much I liked it. Great MovieGreat movie as a long long fan of GitS. I love the idea and the movie and for something bought to life I swear they did almost as good as they could. I would like to see the team return for part 2 and fix the things that they did happen to get wrong. Dont .. just dont. watch when free or cheapCringe worthy creative differences, directing and plot changes. Lacks authenticity. You can tell it is made/directed by US people. Their, all so common, exploration of "who am i" is too much. They change key points of the story line.. because they don’t understand what a real story is?? Thought it was ok, until mid to end when the story line changes that they introduced started having serious holes and the fealing of authenticity went from good to?? watching a movie for 13 year olds..?? idk. Where is the GhostThe casting was good and the acting, I thought major looked very much like the animation version and the special effects were good, but we all now have a large collection of movies with good special effects and this no longer is enough. It was a mechanical progression without emotion, I found the animated version far more touching and it left me feeling like I was holding an empty shell and wanting something more.Score: 3/5
