This is an art filmTarkovsky films have a habit of lingering and seeming slow. It’s not for the average person who just wants to see the narrative or fast action. Annihilation fans, skipIf you feel pressured to watch this because you liked Annihilation, don’t. Some of the concepts are there and there surely is a connection, but this is tedious. Artistically very interesting but all the tension is just a result of excruciatingly slow pacing. Perhaps it loses something in translation but regardless, it’s not worth the time..Score: 2/5
Just OKAnd I am only giving it an ok rating out of respect for several quality aspects of the picture. You have to admit that the imaginative art work of the cinematograpy was very interesting, but the movie itself was quite odd & unusual & often boring. It is like a very out there world within a world & difficult to figure out what is transpiring, without giving away too much. I try to rate these movies, on whether I would watch it more than once, & this is one I can appreciate but not miss it if I never watch it ever again..Score: 3/5
