After the death of their father, three estranged American brothers share a train ride across India in search of their mother.
Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. Their "spiritual quest", however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray).

Darjeeling=amazing!!!This movie is one of my favorites even though it isn't exactly what i expected. There are almost no laugh out loud moments here, but after a while the comedy comes from seeing how the characters play on eachother. The acting is amazing and i would recommend for anyone looking for something a little off of the mainstream.Score: 5/5

It's worth it.A movie for anyone who's ever had the pleasure and curse of siblings, The Darjeeling Limited portrays not only the journey of three brothers but also mirrors the relationship and nuances of one's own family. When the brothers encounter different plights throughout the film including the death of a father, the apathy of a mother, and the unwillingness to move forward in life, a person cannot help but identify with one of the characters and ponder the preciousness of his or her own family. Amazing Wes Anderson FilmAdrien Brody makes a wonderful addition to the team! This film has such a clever sense of humor (read: the type you have to pay attention to), interesting and diverse characters (the three brothers each have their own style) and the cinematography does not disappoint. This is your typical Wes Anderson film, so you DO have to be in the mood, but for fans, the mood is always right. For those that aren't familiar with his work, it's very artistic, the soundtrack compliments the film well and the story is gripping. I'm sure you'll love this film..Score: 5/5

I need a ticket for the Darjeeling LimitedIf you've ever lived in a family riddled with idiosyncratic behaviour, parents that did not always (or ever) behave as parents ought to, and/or a sibling that felt the need to care for other members of the family, this film will deliver humour, heartache and enlightenment. We travel alongside three brothers in beautiful India as they navigate current personal challenges that stymie them and past personal challenges that continue to haunt them. The initial quest for spiritual discovery is forced - and they know it. The final quest manifests itself of its own volition and unfolds unpredictably. Owen Wilson's usual quirky humour is not central to the movie; instead, it floats in and out like a breeze. Jason Schwartzman's diminutive posture and dark eyes convey a whole range of emotions without a word being spoken. Adrien Brody's performance doesn't stand out but serves well as the glue between the two other brothers. The plot lines can be a little jagged and jumpy at times, but this is still a solid film worth seeing..Score: 4/5

Simply awfulThis movie was weird, boring and disjointed. Although there were some good actors in it, some of them had minuscule parts (Bill Murray, Angelica Huston) so if you chose this movie based on their parts, you’d be sorely disappointed. I chose this because I really like a couple of Wes Anderson’s recent movies (Moonlight Kingdom & The Grand Budapest Hotel. But, this one is not in the same league..Score: 2/5
