Clint Eastwood makes his return as “The Man With No Name,” this time teaming up with a rival bounty hunter (Lee Van Cleef as “The Man In Black”) to take down a ruthless outlaw and his band of renegades. This gritty, “hard hitting” (Variety) western masterpiece would be followed one year later by The Good, The Bad and The Ugly to complete director Sergio Leone’s brilliant Spaghetti Western Trilogy.

Leone is the Master."For A Few Dollars More," the second in the Man With No Name trilogy, is every bit as excellent as its predecessor, "A Fistful Of Dollars." The beautiful visuals, the awesome score, the unflinching stare of Clint Eastwood, they're all here. This time, the story is an original, not a remake like "Fistful" is. If there's any mis-step, it's that the film is actually more about Lee Van Cleef's character than it is about The Man With No Name. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but The Man With No Name is, in my opinion, one of the greatest characters ever put up on the big screen. How do you not focus on him? Don't let that lead you astray though. This film is one of the best westerns ever from the best western director ever. The whole series, especially "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," should be required viewing for all of humanity..TrueNerd22Score: 4/5
For a few decades moreYes, the gun play is absurdly over the top; Yes, the title art is remarkably cheesy and 1960s. Still, it holds up: the musical score is compelling, the acting, solid, and the story line, smart. This is not my favorite of the Clint Eastwood Spagetti westerns but it's still a solid and entertaining movie -- holding its own against modern movies, with very little to forgive, even given that it's over 40 years old..KindwarriorScore: 4/5
MUST SEEThis is a timeless epic, starring one of the greatest legends to ever grace cinema. The score of the film is amazing, and the plot is incredibly captures by the director alone.. The unwavering showdown of just the facial expressions alone is unparalleled in film history...and this is Ennio's BEST compositional score, hands down. The musical pocket watch has haunted me for decades, and the folks who don't appreciate it, in my opinion, have the sensitivity that is less than a bag of rocks.

My favourite of the trilogyYes, The Good The Bad & The Ugly is considered Leone's masterpiece with good reason (it's epic scale, unforgettable soundtrack, greatest climactic standoff, etc.), I will always personally love For a Few Dollars More the best. The film is better in my opinion for being much more compact and perfectly paced, with Lee Van Cleef as a protagonist for once; he perfectly portrays the older/more experienced Col. Mortimer with the dignity and nobility of an eagle (Leone's own justification for casting him in the role). A Fistful of Dollars was Leone learning by imitation, remaking Kurosawa's Yojimbo; For a Few Dollars More is the director at his tightest and most efficient, while showing his true skills as a narrative creator in his own right..MariellaVeeScore: 5/5

Deutsch Der „Fremde“ nennt sich nun Monco und verdient sein Geld als Kopfgeldjäger. Auf der Jagd nach einem Banditen kommt er einem anderen Kopfgeldjäger, Colonel Mortimer, zuvor. A Greek military hero named Darios visits his uncle in Rhodes in the year 280 BC. The rebels' revolt seems to fail, with Peliocles and his men being captured and forced to provide amusement in the local arena, but an earthquake eventually upsets, not only the Colossus in the harbor, but the balance of power in Rhodes as well.
