Colonial representatives gather in Philadelphia with the aim of establishing a set of governmental rules for the burgeoning United States. Benjamin Franklin and John Adams charge Thomas Jefferson with the task of writing a statement announcing the new country's emancipation from British rule.

My favorite movie ever!!This is great. I am so glad itunes got this movie! This is a classic. I first saw it in my seventh grade history class and it has been my favorite since. Excellent!Fantastic movie, "Mama look Sharp" was the downpoint though. The acting and singing was superb, JA did New England proud and probably embrassed us a bit as well. Tidge was awsome too. Mr. Lee most likely further embrassed the Lees more than anything else (kidding). Tidge, Adams and Franklin were great..Score: 4/5
The True Father of our Country: John AdamsThis is a great movie-I'm so happy itunes has it! William Daniels plays the role of his life as John Adams. Mr. Adams is often hidden behind men like Jefferson and Franklin and often overlooked. As Daniels says in the movie "I won't appear in the history books anyway. It will be Franklin did this, Franklin did that, and Franklin did some other damn thing." Not only does this movie send a great message, but it has an amazing scense of humor and a lot of great comedy, often seen in the less serious songs. "But, Mr. Adams" and "The Egg" are just a couple of examples of this great score. Especially if you are a history nerd, you will love this movie. One of the classics, buy it today!.Score: 5/5

Time for the full length versionThis excellent musical deserves to be seen with all of the songs and scenes intact. There is no reason to have the shortened version on iTunes, no advantage in the shorter version. The full director’s cut is now released on Blu-Ray, and Amazon has it on Prime Video. Come on, iTunes!
