Bleh..I watched this a few months ago and felt it failed in the horror/survival genre. The survivors don't really seem to be in too much danger and the action is way too predictable, there aren't any real twists, the lines try to push a sense of comic relief but are compleletely irrelevent (maybe trying to appeal to teens of the time it was released?), i swear the writer was a 12 year old that wrote this script behind his mommys back and giggled everytime the characters cussed, acting was decent but they weren't made for this type of film. Also, *spoiler if you even WANT to watch it and i feel sorry for you if this is on your "must see" list* they let the zombies get away. ARE YOU SERIOUS. They feel sorry for the zombies and let them roam the city and kill the people and watch. I rest my case. it overall felt like a drama trying to be a comedy trying to be a scary zombie film and fell apart tremendously.GroovychainsawsScore: 1/5

Not bad, not greatGenerally I'm a zombie fan so by default I won't totally dislike this movie. Having said that, it's merely an OK movie at best. The biggest trouble with this movie is the one-dimensional characters. The good guy is good just because. The bad guy is bad just because. And everyone else is in the mix because in this genre of movie, you need more than 2 people. For the most part it seems the actors are here just to punch in some time and get a paycheque.
But let's remember too that it's a zombie movie and one does not watch these for riviting, Oscar-nominee performances. It's all about the kill scenes right? Sad to say here that this movie disappoints too. Sure we have zombies who wander around satiating their cravings for human flesh. But there's nothing novel about this and there's nothing even remotely scary in this portrayal either. When the humans go about killing the zombies, the "action" is reduced to a bunch of bullets flying around with some token blow-ups at the end.
Zombie fans will want to see this movie just because it's a George A. Romero opus. That's fine, but if you have something else to do or another movie to see, you can safely put this one lower on your priority list..XarirScore: 2/5

Don't botherThis is Romero's weakest film in the series. Nothing in this film makes any sense at all. The zombies are intelligent and seem to be more intelligent than the average person portrayed in the film. The deaths are unrealistic and rely on dead and living bodies doing things that are physically impossible to do. The film's theme appears to be that rich people are horrible. Romero hammers this message home with the sublety of a nuclear blast, to the point where it is almost laughable..Morbo of OttawaScore: 1/5

Konflikt, ktory sa medzi nimi rozhori, ohrozi nielen ich samych, ale aj poslednu bastu ludskej civilizacie.

Polski Zombie rozprzestrzeniły się na całej kuli ziemskiej. Garstka ocalałych bez przerwy szuka schronienia przed krwiożerczymi trupami. Jeden z nich, biznesmen Kaufman (Dennis Hooper), schronił się w bezpiecznym apartamencie, innych zaś pozostawiając na pewną śmierć. Wśród nich znajdują się jego podwładni, Cholo (John Leguizamo) i Riley (John LeguizamoSimon Baker), którzy postanawiają mu się sprzeciwić. Bezwzględny Cholo zamierza wyłudzić od Kaufmana ogromną ilość pieniędzy. Cień na te porachunki rzuca ogrom nieszczęść, z jakim bohaterowie filmu będą musieli się zmierzyć, bowiem żywe trupy zajmują coraz większe obszary…
Český Pozůstatky lidské civilizace přežívají uvnitř opevněného města, zatímco živí mrtví se potulují pustinou, která ho obklopuje, a hladově hledají známky života. Uvnitř města ale také existují dva oddělené světy. Ti vyvolení obývají mrakodrap Fiddler´s Green, v němž si užívají absolutního luxusu, ti méně šťastní pak živoří na ulicích. Obě dvě skupiny jsou ale závislé na týmu žoldáků, kteří v obrněném transportéru pravidelně vyrážejí z městských bran do země mrtvých, aby v ní doplnili zásoby. V jejich čele stojí dva muži, kteří se navzájem liší jako voda a oheň. Cholo si chce nebezpečnými výpravami zajistit vstupenku do Fiddler´s Green, Riley touží najít svět bez zombií a bez plotů. Konflikt, který se mezi nimi rozhoří, ohrozí nejen je samé, ale i poslední baštu lidské civilizace. Armáda mrtvých stojí před jejími branami, připravená využít i sebemenší zaváhání jejích ochránců.
