After the departure of Rube Sofer, a new head reaper named Cameron Kane takes over. He's a slick businessman who couldn't care less about helping the newly dead. Chaos ensues and brings out the worst in Daisy and Mason who begin drinking anew. George and Reggie reconnect for the first time when George reaps a new friend of Reggie's.
When George and her colleagues get a new boss whose focus is on moving souls quickly and enjoying life without consequences, the team begins to break the strict reaper rules. While her friends fall victim to their desires for money, success, and fame, George breaks another rule by revealing her true identity to her living family.

I was big fan of this show, but this is not up to scratchWhilst the effects and the cinematography were very well done, Rube's absence and Daisy's replacement (whilst adequate as an actor) made this impossible to bear. Georgia's awkwardness too is wearing thin. Delores and Murray (the cat) were perhaps the saving grace. Respect the dead and give this one a wide berth - there is no life for this cast after death..Score: 2/5
Evolution of CharactersThis movie picks up where the show left off. Rube is gone and frustraions over wanting to know where he went are senseless. The show always carefully avoided answering where anyone went. The trials and tribulations of the reapers with a new boss and Rube gone are frustrating for anyone excpecting the smooth nature of the series, but make complete sense if you consider that Dead like me was always following the main character, George. The movie shows George as a competant reaper (the best of the team) coming into her own without guidance from rube just as she did in handling Ray. The Daisy Character is completely uninteresting in the movie and lacks the flair of and presumption Daisy always had. Overall, if you consider that the show follows the evolution of George I think the movie does a pretty good job of continuing in the direction the show went. I always thought the story had a heavy theme of George growing up after she died. The movie shows a reaper with true compassion..Score: 5/5

It wasn't that bad!No, this movie doesn't have the same feel of Seasons 1 and 2. Really, it was a bit different. I mean, windows at Happy Time? Come on! No one there ever saw sunlight! And the "new" Daisy Adair, I just didn't get a feel for her. She seemed simple and shallow. In the series, Daisy was quite complex, letting the viewer get a feel for her. It seemed a bit rushed, the movie. It seemed like the producers were trying to say "Look! We brought back George, Mason, Roxy and Delores and Crystal, but we're not quite sure what to do with them!" Then there's the interaction between George and her sister, which was only slightly developed and not exactly how one would have imagined it. I really enjoyed the movie, as I've been addicted to Dead Like Me for a while now. I think it's worth the price, and I pray they make more! What happened?I loved the show and was super excited when this epilogue came out but it was really disappointing. Not only does part of the main cast not show up in this film but the plot/story lines are so poorly done that parts were hard to follow or just plain stupid and contradictory. It didn't feel true to the original show at all. This show deserved an awesome ending. So sad it didn't get one..Score: 2/5
Sad attempt . . .The story lacked the depth, humanity and wit of the original series. The move tanked every time Sara Wynter (new Daisy) walked into the shot. She can't act, made the marginal dialog even more painful to hear every time she spoke. Horrid. Horrid. Horrid. Then no Rube. Towards the end of season 2, Mandy P's character had revealed a new side to his character that held some promise. Sad that he wasn't invited to bring back the character. A Decent MovieOverall, as a "die" hard fan of Dead Like Me I feel that this was a good movie. There's a lot of comments from fans that say the characters acted out of character. After watching the film (and crying 'cause little Murrey finally passed away), I disagree. I feel that all the characters acted as they did in the series. Even Daisy who was played, in my opinion, by a bad casting choice seemed to capture the original Daisy. That is, the Daisy that first came to the show, always making sexual refrences to this actor and that. As far as her more sensitive side, the film eluded to this through Mason. For those who have seen it, remember the scene when Mason waited for Daisy in front of the theatre after her drunken performance holding a flower. He was realizing that they had all made a mistake by getting caught up by their new boss who had no care for the dead whatsoever and was trying to reach Daisy's softer side. Unfortunatly, she only hinted at it which was dissapointing. But at least there was an attempt. Other than choosing the wrong actress to play Daisy, this wasn't a bad film. I do feel the contact between George and Reggie was a bit creepy but it ended up playing out to prove some very important points. What surprised me was that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be without Rube. Yea he was the cool factor in the series, but this film has opened the door for George to take his place. Which finally brings me to my conclusion: is there going to be a new season based on both the series and the events in this film? Who will play Daisy Adare? Hopefully not the dreadful actress from the film. Personally, I can't wait. Just imagine George trying to boss Mason around. But I digress. I recommend this film to both fans and folks just learning of this show. I gave it four stars instead of five only due to the poor casting choice for Daisy. Other than that, great soundtrack and still an excellent dramedy! Dead Like Me is the best!.Score: 4/5

Many of my characters, Daisy, Mason and Roxy, are a shell or caricature of their old selves. The actors seem like they're just in the movie for one last paycheck. I don't even know what to make of the storyline with Reggie and the dying boy, much less the point with Cameron. The actors who played Rube and the original Daisy were smart to stay away from this stinker. I checked my watch constantly counting down the minutes until it was over.
