Pete and Freddie (Abbott and Costello) overhear a Cairo archaeologists's chatter about discovering a legendary mummy and decide to apply as chaperones for the corpse's journey to America. But when they arrive at the archaeologists' home, he has been murdered, the mummy seems to have have disappeared, and to top it all off, the boys become owners of a sacred medallion that holds the key to the location of an ancient buried treasure that many would kill for! Learning that the medallion is cursed, Pete hides it in a most appetizing place and Freddie bites the bait. Then it's up to the bumbling American's to preserve the legend of the mummy and keep the treasure from falling into the wrong hands. Abbott and Costello Meet The Mummy is loaded with surprises. One of the most interesting is Lou Costello's daughter Carole appearing as the cigarette girl who pours water all over her dad! This gem of a film is filled with laughs for everyone in your family - especially Mummy!

I think I'm becoming an Abbott and Costello fan!Abbott and Costello are at it again, but not with Frankensteinstein's Monster, The Wolf Man, nor Dracula. No, this time it's the Mummy. [NOTE, THIS IS NOT IMHOTEP...the Boris Karloff Mummy.....NOR IS IT KHARIS....the recurring Mummy in the Mummy series.] The laughs are monsterous and guess what? I'm becoming a fan of these classic comedies. I highly recommend these films to you if you like classic monsters and comedy. So, check it out. BTW Apple, can you please reupload Hammer's The Mummy? Wait… This is not one on their better ones...A&C meeting Frankie and the other monsters was much better than this one. It kind of reminds of a Three Stooges episode with Joe Derita or even worse, Joe Besser..Score: 2/5
