Keller Dover is facing a parent’s worst nightmare: his young daughter and her friend have gone missing. Total dudIt has a great cast, great cinematography, but the script and how the story was written is terrible, it makes these great actors look and act like B level actors. Watch your kidsAlthough 30 mins too long and slightly predictable, hugh jackmam is compelling to watch. The film does a fabulous job of making you feel uncomfortable from the get go but in the end, it feels like this wanted to be a stellar David Fincher film. Symbolism done right... Depths actually worth exploring.So much of this film reaches into the depths of ones thoughts and perception of the world. How do I see another human? What is the life of one person worth to me? What is the right thing to do? I found so much meaning in this expression of film. It haunts me until this very day. I am a filmmaker and I am inspired by the masterpieces that are made by incredible filmmakers like Dennis Villenueve and I find joy in the art that is made. Not horrible but not that good eitherFor much of the movie the mystery builds but the payoff is predictable. Quite good as it is, but oh what it could have been...Really engaging, and kept me glued to the screen til the end. Although there were some things I felt silly for not having figured out earlier, there were some that I felt weren't fully explained (or maybe I just missed something). I felt that they kind of glossed over the whole moral dillema that Hugh Jackman's character faced and felt the end was a bit of a cop-out in terms of any sort of recloning for him. I think a real opportunity was missed in terms of exploring his character coming to grips with what this terrible situation forced him to do. It seems they tried to expose this quandry through the reactions of the other characters around him more than to focus on his internal struggle, which I think was unfortunate. They seemed to want to portray Gylenhaal in a light other than that of the typical cop, but didn't really go anywhere interms of fleshing out his character which would have been interesting, as well as perhaps a little more on Jackman's char's past. Despite these reservations, I think it succeeds as a purely plot driven type of thing, which is not the easiest thing to do. I've given it a 4 here althought after digesting it a bit it feels more like a 3.5. A good watch.XwebofliesxScore: 4/5

Keep GuessingI won tickets to the advanced screening of this and I have to say I was blown away by this movie. I found this movie had me thinking the whole way through, the story was great and kept me on my toes. You will start asking yourself, how far would you go if you were in this position.
