While their friends are spending the summer playing, three young brothers--Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum--are learning the ways of the ninja from their wise grandfather. Grandpa Mori has taught the boys well. They've trained and practiced, and soon it will all pay off. As the boys' FBI agent father Sam Douglas closes in on capturing notorious arms dealer and evil ninja-master Hugo Snyder, the balance of power shifts when Snyder orders the boys kidnapped and held hostage. Abducting the kids is easier said than done, however, as Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum use their skills to outwit the would-be captors. But with the arrival of a troop of ninja soldiers, the boys are apprehended and taken aboard Snyder's private ship. Now, the young brothers are caught in the middle of an incredible adventure they never dreamed possible. Surrounded by danger and excitement, they must rely on their wits, as well as the ancient ninja ways, to even the odds and defend themselves against the unscrupulous Snyder.
Each year, three brothers Samuel, Jeffrey and Michael Douglas visits their Japanese grandfather, Mori Shintaro whom the boys affectionately refer to as Grandpa, for the summer. Mori is a highly skilled in the fields of Martial arts and Ninjutsu, and for years he has trained the boys in his techniques. After an organized crime ring proves to be too much for the FBI, it's time for the 3 brother NINJAS! To use their martial arts skills, they team up to battle the crime ring and outwit some very persistent kidnappers!

No nostalgia here!This version of the movie differs greatly from the version I used to watch as a kid on VHS and saw in theaters. Small changes in music, editing, and even plot changes make this more of a pain to get through rather than nostalgic..Score: 2/5
More like 3 Ninjas (uncut)This is the movie we never got to see as kids. This is an uncut version. It has a bit more gun action in the beginning, the opening scene dialogue is different, some of the villain scenes feel extended a bit and the basket ball game scene feels extended and almost PG-13ish lol. Honestly I’m not complaining because it still fun to watch and some fun memorable scenes. If you’re going in expecting to see the old 3 Ninjas you grew up watching on VHS and even DVD this is the UNCUT version is all. I’d rent it before you buy it to see if you like it..Score: 4/5

Uncut VersionThis version does take away from the nostalgia, BUT it is better than nothing. The most noticeable thing different is the music and the sound effects. It sounds like a raw and unfinished product. The extended scenes doesn’t bother me as much as the music and effects being tamed or gone..Score: 3/5

This is not the version you remember!I had to give this film the 5 stars it deserves! Anyone looking for that classic film, this is it and more! This version has a different editing style, new voice over, alternate versions of scenes and even the music is edited into it differently. True fans of the film will enjoy all the extras!.Score: 5/5
