Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy)—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family, and their interaction with the witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them. Rob Marshall, the talented filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical “Chicago” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” helms the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine, who also penned the screenplay, and legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, who provides the music and lyrics.

WORST MOVIE EVER😠😡💩👎🖕This was the worst movie I've ever seen. They put some of my favorite singers/actors in the worst movie EVER! My sister is 7 now but she was 6 at the time she said it was a bad movie a 6 year old said that, that says something. Absolute Waste😒I absolutely hated this movie. It was a total waste of my time and money. I mean like when I went to go see it ten people walked out twenty minutes into the movie! Almost everything that could have gone wrong with this movie, did. And it was solo inappropriate for children.
Here is a few reasons why:
-Cinderella's prince makes out with another woman.
-the princes rip open their shirts.
- the bakers wife and jacks mom die.
That is only a few of the reasons why this movie was so inappropriate for kids.
Oh. And Johnny Depp's performance was horrifying.

Aboslutely amazing!The music is fabulous, the acting was awesome, great cast. As a big fan of the play, I loved this movie! All the people saying that this movie was horrible and not kid appropriate obviously never saw the original or did their research before taking their children to see it. The fairy tales in this movie are based off of the original fairy tales, not the romantcized disney ones. Don't watch 2nd halfMy 4 star rating really only applies to the first half of this movie. I'd give the second half 2 stars. This movie is really well cast and the first half is funny and cleverly interweaves different fairy tale stories. However the second half strays from the typical stories you know and is pretty depressing and I'd say innapropriate for children. And it's not really Disney's fault because they didn't write the story/plot (this film is adapted from the original Broadway musical), but If you're going to show it to your kids, cut it off in the middle, when the characters get their happy endings, right before the "earthquake"..Raven's GateScore: 4/5
