Prepare to enter phase nine of television’s perpetual laughter experiment as THE BIG BANG THEORY successfully fuses the elements of science and sitcom. Our two genius roommates – Leonard and Sheldon ¬– and their friends are back once again (smarter, but no wiser). Last season, Sheldon went soul-searching (on a train, of course) and was prepared to make some substantial revisions on his Relationship Agreement with Amy, when everything changed. Leonard, meanwhile, was off to Vegas with Penny to finally tie the knot in the season finale. Howard finds himself alone with Bernadette after the sudden passing of his mother; while Raj is not only talking to women – he’s getting exclusive with Emily (Laura Spencer). Together, they will all learn that life is far more complicated outside of the lab as love and friendship never produce predictable results!

Phoning it InDuring the first few seasons Jim Parsons was brilliant as Sheldon Cooper. Now he is simply Jim Parsons reciting Sheldon’s lines. Sheldon has left the building and the show has lost its way. The same is true of the rest of the actors as well as the writers. It’s as if they believe they should be paid simply for showing up. Re-watch some episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 to see how far this show has fallen. It should have ended several seasons ago..Score: 1/5
Love the BBT so much, but !!!I love the Big Bang Theory, it is by far one of my favorite shows. We can watch season one to season eight over and over. I still laugh at some of my favorite episodes. All were very well written. But that being said, "season NINE EPISODE ONE" is by far the worst episode of the entire series. If this is what we have to expect for season nine, then this will be the worst season of the series. Being a diehard fan, we hope that the episodes to come in season nine will bring back the humor that we love so much from the Big Bang Theory. "FANS HOPE" And yes season nine has gotten better with every episode. I have been given faith at the writers and directors of the Big Bang Theory have the fans in their best interest. Here's an idea...Go back to the style of seasons 1-4, make everything beyond that just a dream of sheldon's, and resume where you left off. You have nowhere else to go unless you start killing off/divorcing the girls. However, divorcing would be more American and accepting, but I'll leave that in your creative hands. Yeah, I'll continue to watch this show but I'm not happy about it. Having to feel like I need to fast forward through so many sections is disheartening after watching an early season episode..Score: 2/5

Worst seasonI absolutely hate this season. Penny and Leonard are awful together and the whole show is going downhill. Season 10 is a bit better, but definitely only watching still because I am too invested obviously. Taking away what makes the characters funny; pennys acting, sheldon not wanting sexual relationships, raj being dependent on his parents etc. but this season was painful to watch..Score: 1/5

Stick to the basics - PLEASE!I really wish they'd abandon the apparent need to neatly package every character's story into a predictable ending, peppered with the "will they or won't they get together at the end" story lines that every other sitcom seems to devolve into during the final season. To the writers- people tune into a sitcom to escape the trials and difficulties of the real world, and maybe laugh a few times. (Ie - the Thanksgiving episode). Instead, now we have to watch the characters we used to laugh at/with awkwardly navigate situations which leave us, the viewers, longing for those times where Big Bang was gut wrenchingly funny. Not everything needs to be a life lesson. Please, make Big Bang funny again. What is going on now is not unlike the cloyingly needy relative who gives you $20 for your birthday - you love them but feel guilty for watching the clock when you visit, because there's somewhere else you'd rather be..Score: 1/5

Still the best!Even in its ninth season, Big Bang has managed to remain consistently entertaining and humorous.
