Archer is an original animated, half-hour comedy based on the hardboiled private eye Sterling Archer. This season features his quest to find his partner’s killer in 1947 Los Angeles. However, the case turns into a deadly game of tug of war between Los Angeles' most powerful crime bosses with every clue leading Archer deeper into a mystery involving kidnapping, prostitution and drug addiction.
Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy set at the International Secret Intelligence Service, a spy agency where espionage and global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other.

So far, so good, but not as good as it was...I'm liking the fact that one episode leads to the next, but I'm still looking for a return to the season 1 or 2 setting. You can't have the world's best super spy playing detective..Score: 4/5
It was great, now it's just "meh"The show had a winning formula. And for four seasons it worked like a charm. And then . . . then things got weird. Nowadays, while there is still some of the old genius lurking around, most of the magic is gone. It's a show desperately trying to be "original", but losing itself in the process. Look at the season as a movieI am a huge classic Archer fan and when they started changing things up I didn’t love everything. I was really excited for the season because I love 40s 50s style but the first time I watched it I was disappointed. Then I decided to look at the season as if it were a movie instead of individual episodes. Now I love it. I’m used to archer episodes within a season that I love and I always appreciate the last 2 to 3 episodes that go together or the 3 Heart of Archness (that should have been 2 episodes not 3 in my opinion). When I looked at season 8 as a movie it made a lot of sense. I wish I could just watch it as a movie and not have to put up with the intro, but I really love this season. Same for season nine but I have no excuse for season 10, that’s a hard one to stomach even for me..Score: 5/5
DisappointingI've purchased and would recommend every other season of season 8 was by far the worst season in what has otherwise been perhaps my favorite animated series. The season 7 finale had quite the cliffhanger with Archer shot, for about the 50th time, lol, and his life once again hanging in the balance. It left me excited for the possibilities of season 8, but the result was less than stellar. None of the episodes were really able to keep my attention let alone earn a laugh. Save a few bucks and pass this one over..Score: 2/5

NO ADS IN PAID CONTENTHow is it that if you watch Archer on Netflix or Hulu - you don’t get ads. If you PURCHASE it to own it through iTunes - LITTERED WITH ADS! That is just backwards. Thankfully I know how to remove these ads, but the point is I shouldn’t have to! As for the show itself, we’re getting less and less Archer as a show. Last season only had 10 episodes and the whole mystery Archer may be dead thing was entirely different from the beginning episode. All the mystery build up that could have been fun to carry through the season was thrown out in favor of holding everyone on a cliffhanger to renew for more episodes or leave all of Archer ending with him dead in the pool. So OK we get “Dreamland” and I already can see it ending Wizard of Oz style “And you were there! And you and you too!” but I’m going along for the ride because the cast is AMAZING..Score: 1/5
Ads are backThey had adds on season 5-7 but when i downloaded it again the adds where gone on on season 5-7 but on season 8 they have a 15 second ad, but they may remove the adds later down the line like they did for the previous seasons complain to FX and ITUNEs to get rid of them the ad was only 15 seconds so a lot better than season 5-7 which took 1-2 minutes.Score: 5/5
