Something there! Can't wait for episode 8! Not to disagree with SpaceGuy43, there have been many times in the series where the narration totally blows 'not finds' out of proportion. But, after watching episode 7, and the previews for episode 8, it is more telling now than ever that there was a lot more to this island 300+ years ago!.Score: 5/5
Fading fastAs much as I enjoy the general premise of this show, it's really starting to fade and cause me to lose interest. After 10X was shown to be a total bust (although apparently sending someone down there to look and touch the objects wasn't enough for some ont he show), they've slowly moved back to the money pit. The diversions are becoming even more outlandish before. Now, between the horrible narration and recapping the series after each commercial break, they are exploring a well in a really weird couple's back yard, taking for granite some map a random New Yorker finds in a book (without even bothering to see if its authentic), and searching for a stone tablet when its already premised that the writing on the tablet was faded off. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining. But that entertainment is not so much an interest in what they're going to find, but more of guessing what the next outlandish theory of the supposed oak island treasure is. I'd enjoy this show if they brought in people with theories that the money pit is nothing more than a sink hole and most of the fables, which the show takes for granted, were written about long after the supposed first discovery of this money pit. This is the History Channel and they should go a little less on the reality TV scripted junk and offer full insight..Score: 3/5

WHY the NARRATOR?Hunting Hilter Proves Oak Island is doing it wrong! I love the guys of Oak Island, the treasure hunt, the mystery! But the entire show can be condensed into 6-10 minutes of "actual" show. The rest is dreaded "recap" and over bloated narration done in a way that completely ruins the show. I want to watch Oak Island with 95% less narration. Just the guys working and doing the job of hunting. Dirt digging is better for the show then the narrators senseless recap! If I was not so loyal to the Cause and interested in the story- I'd Ive ditched this show- like acient aliens- which has the same narrator and grinds you down to leave. Please Oak Island producers- change the show or find the treasure! 4 seasons of "recap" to find a coin, a deck nail, and some wood, is hard enough- let alone a guy recapping that 2,300 times!.Score: 3/5
Digging the Gold out of This ShowI have watched every episode since the beginning. Out of four seasons, the show could of been condensed to just over one season. The producers trying to milk the story for as many episodes as possible is so apparent. The endless repetition and narration is killing this show and its dedicated viewers. The story is great and the search is fascinating, but there is only so many ways the story can be gone over without driving us all to bury ourselves in our own pit. Tell Marty to shut off the water before digging another hole in the ground. Its the same mistake every searcher has made..Score: 4/5
HEY, NARRATOR! SHUT UP ALREADY!!!How is it possible to make such a fascinating mystery seem boring and aggravating all at once? Hire a narrator to interject useless flashback commentary and to endlessly posit; "A (insert "find" here) rusty Coca Cola bottlecap?!...Could it be that the team has uncovered a clue to solving the mystery?". The next time I hear another "could it be?", I swear I'm gonna toss a treasure chest through the TV. If this show returns next year, fire the narrator, don't USE a narrator, STOP WITH THE ENDLESS FLASHBACKS...WE CAN REMEMBER FOR OURSELVES, WE ARE NOT STUPID...and, and, and...just let the players tell the story. Fod God's sake, give the Laginas something to really say, other than 30 second scripted "thoughts". This show is turning to rust, not gold..Score: 2/5

ConfusedI really do like the story line about Oak Island's Treasure, maybe. I watched the 2 week later video after the end of Season 4 with Matty Blake called "Drilling Down" and noticed the aerial shot of the money pit showed V3, and C1 Cassons in the ground, but no T1 or GAL1 Casson. So what where we watching when all of the metal was pulled out of supposely GAL 1 when GAL 1 Casson wasn't even in the ground as of that time? I'm not a stictler on accuracy, but History Channel did devote a 2 hour end of season 4 video program on all of the very cool metal being pulled out of GAL 1, OOPS.
