Thought provoking fictionI binge watched this show in 2 days, and found my thoughts wandering back to its message in the weeks that followed. It definitely made its mark on my psyche. That said, I’ve read some of the reviews here, and it seems a lot of people are taking it quite seriously, and even getting political about it. To that, I suggest we all loosen up a bit and take it for what it is- entertainment. If you’re looking to get lost in a storyline, and if you have an open mind, then I think you’ll enjoy this show. It can get a little twisted, so be ware. It’s cinematography value is gorgeous, and most of the scenes are so beautifully lit that it challenges the darkness of its message. If this sounds like something you’re up for, then make some popcorn, grab your comfy blanket, and settle in for a very thought provoking and somewhat creepy experience that you’ll be glad you watched..RandiHoustonScore: 4/5

Relentlessly pessimistic, but with a sharp edge of hope.Beautifully raw, with a humanity that is doubly powerful for being so small. Elisabeth Moss is terrific as a complex victim of the religious state and the Waterford family drifting toward rebellion, but Yvonne Strahovski as Mrs. Waterford is just as good. She is a monster, but a very human one. She manages to be thoughtlessly and deliberately cruel, while simultaneously vulnerable and hurt and sometimes kind. Season 2 can't start soon enough!!I've spent a small fortune on I-tunes but never felt compelled to write a review. This show changed that. Casting is perfect. Theme is frighteningly relevant. This show should be mandatory viewing. I've read the book, watched other adaptations and nothing compares to the perfection that the team responsible for this series created.
