Itâs not for everyoneYes it is very well done. Yes the acting is fine. Yes the cinematography is great and the writer was superb. No itâs not fun. Not easy viewing. Sorry but itâs so intense and depressing that I had to watch every episode in bits and pieces. Be warned. This is definitely different and maybe not your choice for an evening of light entertainment. A really rough go. Especially considering our new political climate..Score: 2/5

Relentlessly pessimistic, but with a sharp edge of hope.Beautifully raw, with a humanity that is doubly powerful for being so small. Elisabeth Moss is terrific as a complex victim of the religious state and the Waterford family drifting toward rebellion, but Yvonne Strahovski as Mrs. Waterford is just as good. She is a monster, but a very human one. She manages to be thoughtlessly and deliberately cruel, while simultaneously vulnerable and hurt and sometimes kind. There are no simple characters in this show, and these actresses portray them perfectly..Score: 5/5

Season 2 can't start soon enough!!I've spent a small fortune on I-tunes but never felt compelled to write a review. This show changed that. Casting is perfect. Theme is frighteningly relevant. This show should be mandatory viewing. I've read the book, watched other adaptations and nothing compares to the perfection that the team responsible for this series created. As much as I admire, love, relate to Offred, I fear I may also feel empathy and hope for Serena. One of the best shows I've ever watched!!!.Score: 5/5

IntriguingFrom episode 1 to 10 and the hours in between watching episodes, this drama has been utterly intriguing. In light of the world we live in today, this is a sobering tale of a dystopian future that should act as a warning to all sides of what might be. Beautifully filmed, passionately enacted and thoroughly entertaining. Thank you for the recommendation.... Sadly, I donât recall who that was in my RSS feed. Nonetheless, I look forward to the next series to see where the tale of the Handmaids goes next. They say that reading the book is generally a better experience but with crafting of story, artistic film and wonderful acting - occasionally, its worth waiting for the next series rather than reading the book..Score: 5/5
