Fantastic show!I absolutely fell in love with this show in the first five minutes. I have not (yet) read the book, but I was hooked on this series within a by short time thanks to the stellar cast and directing, and the gripping (if eventually predictable) story. I’ll pass on this show. Too negative.I find this show very aggressive in a time the world needs positivity and uplifting. Domestic abuse, rape, dark secrets, gossip, negative chatter make me feel bad feelings and feel bad after watching it. It’s been hard to watch the first 2 episodes. It’s getting worse on the second one. I’ll pass on this unnecessary negative show. Wish known actresses could bring something good to people..Score: 1/5

Better than the book?I loved the book, but this is one of those rare times I think the movie version was better. Excellent acting by all the cast, especially NK, she was completely believable in her reactions and denials. She deserved that Emmy. Like going out to the Movies!!I was totally shocked & really surprised to see some of my favourite big budget MOVIE STARS on the small screen! But I honestly shouldn't have been 🤷♀️ After all, that seems to be the Hollywood "it" thing to do nowadays!! Having this all star cast wrapped into one weekly TV show meant made buying it a no brainer 😉 Another attraction was the price (quite the bargain compared to one night out at the movies watching just one of these leading ladies on the big screen for approximately two hours!) AND let me tell you straight up, the series is definitely worth every penny!! After the first episode I was hooked! It's an instant "who done it" that grabs you until the very end; It made me laugh right off the bat 😉 It's dramatic in all the right places (without overdoing it). Personally, I don't think it fall into just one genre either. It's honestly a little bit of everything mixed into one 👍 It's wonderfully written and has several unexpected twists and turns! The acting is first class (and not just by the "movie stars" who you'd naturally expect it from) The husbands, supporting counterparts and EVERY CHILD actor are extraordinary!!! Quite frankly, all of those "lesser known" actors give this series it's backbone and I couldn't imagine the show without them!! No doubt these younger actors will be the next generation of Hollywood's elite players!! I really can't say enough about how entertaining and thrilling this series was to watch 🙌 I can only cross my fingers that it'll have a second season!!🤞🙏🏼🤞 With all that being said 😉 of course I give the show FIVE BRIGHT BRIGHT STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A MUST have to add to your binge worthy collection!!
