Great adaptationIt sounds like the negative reviewers have never read the book - I'm not saying you need to to understand it, but it does have a distinctly eclectic surreal style that the show captures very well. It's pretty much faithful to the book (all of the changes I've seen so far only improve on it) so fans of that and of diverse, offbeat, surreal media will probably really enjoy it (also fans of Fuller and Gaiman in general), but fans of more somber, muted tones of storytelling will probably find it too erratic, odd, and difficult to follow. The sometimes slow pace is necessary to introduce all the different characters and elements without it becoming too cluttered. I hope they get the 3 seasons needed to adapt the entire novel, it's truly a one of a kind story and series..Score: 5/5

Deep, different, and visually appealingIf you can see through the violence, nudity and course language of the show( which i do not find turn offs really), the show will captivate you with its unconventional story telling, amazing visuals and well acted scripts. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite episode 'cause every episode is a gem. So much symbolisms that reflects different religions and belief systems, that old vs new gods is such a refreshing story told. Season 2 coming soon i hope..Score: 5/5
