Good but also offensiveUntil you realize every white, straight character is portrayed as a complete piece of crap, you'll really enjoy the show. Let's continue with diversity but also strive for equality of characters. That's awesome! Just please spread around the good and bad traits a little more evenly across all characters. The thing that makes this show work as a drama is that every character is a mix of good and bad. The stereotypes are bigoted, and that shouldn't be perpetuated for any race, culture, etc..Score: 3/5
Exactly what I imagined and hoped forAs a contemporary revamp of the ‘80s classic, I really love how well this show is being handled so far. The deviations are welcome, and the nods and subversions are great. So far I love the cast, with Liz Gillies being a major standout as a Fallon who’s given much more to do. Horrible rebootI watched Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, Dynasty and Dallas back in the day and was really looking forward to this. The recent remake of Dallas was very well done, but this thing is a hot mess. To be fair, a couple of them can deliver their lines believably but most of them don't appear to have a clue what they are doing. And the plot changes from the original are all in a politically correct direction and don't make any sense at all... it would have been better if they came up with a completely new family, story and title because this is just too painful to watch....Score: 1/5

It Grew in MeI enjoy Rafael De La Fuente and Alan Dale very much, as they seem to get and display the kind of camp Dynasty demands — in the original and now. Changing Sammy Jo to a gay guy who hooks up with Steven was inspired, since Steven’s sexuality isn’t a big deal in this day and age. I can’t agree that Elizabeth Gillies is outstanding. Her Fallon is a shrill, mean-girl, one-note performance with no shading. I am rewatching the original as the reboot airs and, to those who say the reboot is so much worse, I have to ask, have you seen the original? It wasn’t high art either. Dynasty was/is sudsy trashy TV fun. And at the end of a long day, that can be enough sometimes..Score: 3/5
