Entertainment can be selfish...I like this show. I work hard and think of myself as a caring person who does alot for others, while trying to better myself. I get home from a long days work and I peek into the lives of people who seem to have it so easy. Its dawnting at times, but also makes me so happy to be me. Im not rich, I live in Tustin of OC... and I live alone, a pretty girl who doesnt date for money, I make my own. Imagine that. But its really fun to watch Joe manipulate Slade and Slade control Joe. I just like the drama, while I try to keep it from creeping into my natural life. My best friend used to be a dancer, and when she justifies it by saying that her old clientel were the sadly abused husbands of this town. I dont think its all that political, its just interesting to watch and makes me want to jump on a treadmill more often..Score: 4/5
I Love This ShowI hate reality tv with a passion, but I love this show. I notice that a lot of the bad reviews are based on the free episode. But I watched all 7 and in doing so, I was able to understand that this show is not just about a bunch of rich white people having fun and spending money. Most of these rich people still work every day and they have real feelings and issues just like anyone else. The show really does show you that there are certain problems that money can't cure. It also shows that people are people, whether rich, poor or otherwise. And for those who live in gated comunities and feel offended by the show, be fair. While the show does have shallow moments, it also has down-to-earth moments too. These are people. They have their good and bad parts just like anyone else. These women are rich and worry about their looks and throw money around, but they ALL try to be good people too. Nothing wrong with being rich and enjoying it. Hopefully, I'll be able to speak to that first-hand within the next few years..Score: 5/5

Very unrealisticThis show should not have "Orange County" in it. Maybe Newport Beach, or Laguna Beach, but not the county. Most of the county does not live the lives of these women, it's despicable really. What about Anaheim, Garden Grove, Irvine and Santa Ana? Some of the more populated cities of the County, and they aren't even majority white either. What happen to the other faces of Orange County?.Score: 1/5

Reality T.VIf we wanted reality, wouldn't we, as consumers, shut the t.v off and just start living? I took the show for what it was: a "reality" show set in Orange County. Most reality shows are set up, with a loose script and key shots to cover, with the 'drama' being instigated by various people behind the camera to make the show hold the audience's attention. The Real Housewives of Orange County is fantasy, like all t.v. shows. Nothing on t.v is reality unless it's a documentary, but even then you have to take into account the post-production (which is 50% of all that you see on the small and big screens) of editing scenes, editing in sounds, effects, etc. I mean, how real is that? If a person just watches it for pure entertainment value and takes into account that the show has been editied by the producers to their satisfaction, then the negativity surronding the women and their behaviours should be lessened..Score: 5/5
