I have hopes but I will wait for the season on NetflixAfter how the CW ended the vampire diaries and the originals, I am going to use caution here. I’m not gonna watch the weekly episodes and I will wait for them to come out on Netflix, because currently I have two television series fully purchased that I’ve erased from my library because of poorly written and hurried final episodes. So I’m really not sure what to do here Other than wait to see what happens but put no money into it..Score: 5/5
Best New Show From Fall 2018We are 4 episodes into Legacies now and the show is absolutely amazing. If you are a fan of The Vampire Diaries or The Originals, make sure you don't miss Legacies. You will love it! And to viewers that haven't watched either of the previous series in the TVD Universe, you will love Legacies too! You don't have to watch The Vampire Diaries or The Originals in order to be able to follow along with Legacies. Legacies does a great job at standing on its own while also paying subtle homages to the other two shows in the universe that fans of the whole TVD Universe will love. And if you loved Harry Potter and/or Buffy The Vampire Slayer, you'll love Legacies too! The show has something for everyone. Legacies has a wonderful cast. Every actor is extremley talented and every character is extremely likeable. The show is very well-written and there's a fun weekly twist that makes you want to keep coming back for more. As a big fan of Matt Davis, it is so wonderful to see him have a chance to shine as one of the leads in this show. His performances in this show is some of the best work he has ever done in his career and it's a treat to see him with such a big focus. Any fan who loved Alaric from the other 2 shows will love him in Legacies. They're doing great things with his character. If you're not watching Legacies yet, take my advice: catch up with the first four episodes that have already aired while the show is on a break this week for Thanksgiving then start watching it live when new episodes return on Thursday, November 29th. You won't regret it and you don't want to miss out on Legacies. It is by far the best new show on television this Fall season!.Score: 5/5
Watch on NetflixI didn't think I would like the show as much as T.V.D. or T.O. But really like it just as much. It has all the twist and turns as the other shows. And a good bit of humor that I was not expecting but had me laughing. Love all the characters and the monsters. I could see this crossover with Supernatural easily..Score: 5/5

Really entertaining for newcomers and old fansSeveral things to say about who will like it, acting abilities, continuity, type of show, etc. read on. I am quite impressed with casting choices and acting abilities. As a fan of the two other series before this, I noticed these things: Hope’s character has the aloof head tilt of her Aunt Rebekah, the stubbornness and dark chaos of her father Klaus, the wide set, large eyes and wide cheekbones of her mother Hayley, and maybe her stubbornness too. She just does a wonderful job of harboring the darkness inside a candy perfect shell of goodness that she’s worked hard to cultivate. The actress is gifted. Lizzie and Josie, the twins, are fun too. Lizzie has her Aunt Liv’s hair color, her Uncle Kai’s wild emotions, and surrogate mama Caroline’s perky party popular thing going on. Take away the blonde hair, you’ve got her bio mom’s jawline and dimples. Josie has the dark coloring of Kai, and some reserved traits her bio mom had. In saying all that, I want fans of the series to understand that the previous shows weren’t tossed, and are being treated with continuity. The show runners care that these characters demonstrate similarities to the characters of the past while still being fresh. For newcomers, if you ever liked Buffy, Supernatural or if you like tales of magical creatures tied up in action packed footage and intrigue, you’ll really enjoy this. It feels more teenagey in some ways, but not annoyingly so. It has an early 20’s feel more than a 14 year old feel. I’m really enjoying the effort being put into the show, and I certainly think it’s a winner, though I worry that it won’t pick up, for whatever reason, and get more viewers.
