Itâs not the cast. Itâs the writing...The stories set up nicely but quickly take a nose dive with plot twists are often absurd and climaxes that fall flat. Iâm not talking about usual Dr. Who delightful absurd, but instead the plain, painful, stupid kind. The writing on the wall is that these writers are sorely lacking. The 13th & first female Doctor does not deserve a debut such as this....Score: 1/5
Really Poor Storylines and Writing, Sad ReallyI have no problem with a female Doctor Who whatsoever. Actually, it was a refreshing idea to be frank. The problem lies in the feeling you get as you watch most episodes is that you are watching some low-budget time machine show. Seriously, if you compare some of the content of these episodes to another show that had a female time tripping around in a time machine pod (hint hint), then you will almost see plagiarism in the scripts. Just really seems to take away from the thrill and excitement of what sci-fi defines in the true genre. Again, kudos to the female Doctor, but rotten eggs for the script writers. I just feel super let down in that regard. With that said, I am merely sharing my opinion from the standpoint of a lifelong Doctor Who fan who has watched all seasons, so I hope that my shared thoughts and opinions are relevant for some readers wanting an insight before handing out the money for this season. In my humble opinion, it is one to wait for to broadcast on public arenas rather than buy to view. Your money would be well spent on another decent show and not spent on this one. I hope this helps. Well that could have been betterWith the final having come and gone, I can easily say this was the worst season ever. I know it was going to be bad from the very start with the way they closed the season 10 cliff hanger. She basically crashes through the ground and into a moving train going through a tunnel. She is a very smart alien with two hearts, not a super hero. Throw in non stop in your face PC agenda writing and you have this whole season already figured out..Score: 1/5
The season is finally over and....It's a shame to say how disappointed I was. Not for Jodi Whittiker being the Doctor. She was the one thing I was looking forward to in this series. But... the writing, the direction, the villains, the cinematography, the paragraphs of exposition. So many of these episodes are just talking and talking with not much really happening. There were a couple of episodes with interesting ideas but after it all, this whole series just feels very futile. I just... think I'm going to let Doctor Who rest now..Score: 2/5
Worst stories and writing in the history of the seriesIt only took three episodes for Chris Chibnall to completely kill DOCTOR WHO -- a franchise that should have been unkillable. But his poor characterizations, and lousy storytelling finally succeeded. Please note I have no objection to a female Doctor. It's the WRITING this season that's been TERRIBLE. This is not DOCTOR WHO -- it's empty, vapid,and unwatchable. Wake me when Chibnall's been fired as showrunner..Score: 1/5
90% social commentary and 10% scienceThe all new show has altered the focus away from mechanical aptitude and towards past/current American social issues, this suggests the Show is going the way of Class. The scripts have Dr Who using her âsonicâ as a magic wand while fixing various American social Issues and muttering about. The scripts for the old male character have him plodding through scripts with the tech knowledge of a turnip. Please hire a writer with at least a basic Knowledge of college level engineering, Recent shows to date were written primarily for entertaining young juveniles With babysitter nonsense. â.Score: 2/5

I'm sick of the political correctness.Jodie is amazing. She gets five stars. The show does not. I am a huge fan. I liked watching Doctor Who to escape the problems of the real world and get lost in the complex story arcs and fun banter of a rogue time traveler. But now when I watch the show I have to put up with the same political correctness and social issues that I'm sick of in the real world. It's not fun to watch anymore and I'm sick of this content being forced down my throat and ruining the entire point of the show. And why are we casting actors using nothing but little checkboxes for minorities procured? True, the show represents lots of minorities, but none of the actors' performances are interesting. Can we please just hire the best actors, regardless of their race? Martha, for example, was awesome and just happened to be black. Currently, I don't care about any of the characters because their portrayals are sub-par. Except for Jodi. Please fix the show by removing hot social issues from the script, casting the highest caliber actors, and adding some trademark brain-twisting story arcs that span several episodes. Give Jodie a chance to be remembered in a better way..Score: 1/5

Wonderfully done!I've been a Dr. Who fan since I was a little boy. I've only seen the first three episodes so far but I think they are well written and well acted. The new Doctor, like all of the other doctors before her, has a distinct personality and yet retains the essence of what makes the Doctor, Doctor Who: An adventurous spirit and two big caring hearts..Score: 5/5

Excited For A New Season!No one has seen the season yet, but I am very excited for a new season of Doctor Who! Give this Doctor a chance. I know how these season passes work, and they are usually very reliable. I personally have had only one issue, and it was a late episode. Maybe it just depends on where you live. If you like to stay up to date, and not miss a thing, then a seasons pass is your best bet if you want it as soon as it is available. Like I said, I want to give the new Doctor a chance. Surprised by how good this is.Whether a series is good or bad, depends on the writing. I was initially worried about this series since the quality of the writing on the show has been steadily getting worse season by season. Too much 'all aliens are bad and want to take over the earth' and sudden quick fix solutions. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the writing as been and has tackled some difficult issues and I have enjoyed the historical episodes. I am aware that some people seem to think that is political correctness gone mad, but I am not sure where these people are coming from. Racism, fanaticism, death of a loved one; these are all issues that people face, addressing them is not political correctness gone made, it is facing the reality of life. There are those that will never like the new show, and that is simply because they cannot accept a female doctor. An alien that can regenerate, a time machine that is bigger on the teh inside than the outside, but a female Doctor, that is just too much. That is just their choice. If that is your choice, instead of complaining about the show is, just do not watch it. For those that enjoyed the original series and the re-boot, leave your pre-conceptions at the door and give this one a try, you might be pleasantly surprised..Score: 4/5
Preachy, boring, over-hyped yawn-festThe show runnerâs scripts are preachy, weak and boring. The new Doctors characterisation is weak and appears to be trying to do a pale imitation of David Tennant. The episodes fizzle out without proper conclusions and I wouldnât recommend wasting money on this. It was billed as a programme that was going to be something really special and turned out really meh..Score: 1/5
A new lease of life.Classic Who and NuWho combine to create a rejuvenated series of the Sci-Fi Classic. Stripped back to basic components this series is a much easier journey to jump into and enjoy. While not perfect, this series feels like a soft reset after some more navel gazing series in recent years. Fingers crossed this is the base layer for more exciting adventures in series 12..Score: 3/5
A good seriesThis series doesnât have lots of callbacks or threats to the universe, but itâs great for casual viewing and introduces us to Jodie Whittaker and her incredible take on the Doctor. Itâs stand out episodes are the ones which delve into history, with Rosa and Demons of the Punjab being two of my favourites from this series. I know s11 isnât for everyone, but it really is a good set of stories, all disconnected but connected at the same time. Loved it and will continue to rewatch it!.Score: 5/5
