Best science fiction series of all timeFirefly is unique there's never been anything like it and there never will be I'm a huge science fan and firefly is my favorite science fiction universe of all time I never was in to Star Trek and although I like Star Wars I think it's way overrated and the new movie is garbage firefly blows them all away even though there's only one season the quality of that one season is epic amazing characters and acting deep character development every episode is packed with drama humor and brilliant acting the show makes you laugh and be on the edge of your seat at the same time firefly is not about big space battles or political intrigue it's about people just trying to survive and get by in a bad situation firefly will get you hooked and never let you go instead of watching the new Star Wars trash watch firefly I guarantee it will be worth it also watch the movie serenity with brings a great ending to the show Highly recommended.Score: 5/5

Cancelled!?You often have to wonder at the stupidity of others. Like an idiot, I never bothered to check how many seasons were available of this show. When I realized that there was only 1 season, after getting half way through, I was literally blown away at the stupidity of 20th Century. This was easily the best show I've ever seen. I've shown Firefly to friends that totally hate any and all things sci-fi, and they loved it. I mean completly adored it. What a terrible shame that this show wasn't continued..Score: 5/5
What happened to all of the episodes I originally bought???The original series had 4-5 years of episodes that I bought several years ago but now there are 14 episodes left in my purchased library!?!? Why buy when films and series are altered without notice! (TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARSFirefly is an outstanding series that, at the very beginning when first seeing it, those of us who love it now, recognized it qualities and loved it instantly then. It is a wonderful mix of science, excitement, and humour. Though I've watched the series over and over - I seem never to tire of the complexity of the characters. Each of them have truly human characteristics, the mix of these develops each of them to be plausible and loveable and a wonderful team. You might think that with all this compatibility there could be no friction, but wonderfully, there is enough friction to create balance. Firefly mixes recognizable past and character types with the greatly distant future as well. Without the aid of ridiculous prosthesis' the show assembles an absolutely wonderful combination of plot, characters, action, adventure, comedy, intrigue, and suspense. FIREFLY is what Star Trek might have been if it hadn't the breaks to cause it to become the legacy it's become. FIREFLY IS FULLY WORTHY OF MY RATING OF (TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARS..Score: 5/5

Another great show murdered before it's time!Firefly was a fascinating idea - an ensemble cast existing on the ragged edge, forced to take almost any job that comes along to make it by. FOX, who just killed the terrific "Sarah Connor Chronicles", jumped this one all over the schedualling map, showed the episodes out of order and managed to kill it after one short season. The acting is great, the humour and the drama is expertly done, and any time I watch an episode, it makes me sad for what might have been. I still howl with laughter every time I watch "Jaynestown" and "Our Mrs. Reynolds" ("Whoa. Good bible.") and feel the nervous tension in "Ariel" and "War Stories". Great show. Highly recommended..Score: 5/5

A future that seems real.Maybe our world will be just like the one in Firefly. The world in this story are so real that you could touch it with your bare hands, so does the characters. After Japanese anime Cowboy Bebop, I have been looking for a similar show until I found Firefly. Try it, you will love the stories and humor. It is bad it was cancelled after first season, but who knows, maybe that is the good thing----make it a masterpiece..Score: 5/5

Well, Fox turned out to be goram idiots...... Firefly didn't Keep Flying. One season, one movie; that's all we got. Oh how the nerd race wrung its hands and sobbed into its pillows! Comicon Q&As and Twitter rumours are all we can look forward to now. Let it go Geeks, it wasn't to be... Firefly is part of our SciFi heritage, along with Chewbacca, Deckard and Ripley. It's awesome for reasons that are not apparent at first. Slightly hammy and with a curious ability to not take itself too seriously, it very soon finds a place in the heart. The characters are warm and engaging. The plot, though simple, is fun and action packed. A new genre; cowboys, comedy and space long before Daniel Craig turned up. It is a thing of beauty. You'll probably watch this for the rest of your lifeI've lost count of the number of times over the past few years I've been sitting bored in the house and thought "I know, I'll watch Firefly again!". Joss Whedon at his finest, you'll fall in love with the characters very quickly and each episode tells a fantastic story. Firefly brings light-hearted but compelling sci-fi with some great action scenes and excellent dialog. The character development itself is supurb and you'll feel like you really get to know each individual's personalities, quirks and traits. By the end of the series you'll wish so much that Joss was able to continue making this fantastic programme. But it, keep it, you won't regret it!.Score: 5/5
