Best review in the VerseProbably my favorite sci-fi show. It has an Indiana Jones/cowboy bebop feel to it. Every episode is an experience. Best sci-fi ever made for television bar NONE!I didn’t even watch this show until it was cancelled because of the lousy advertising they did for it, and because they took off Dark Angel to bring it in (which was my favorite show at the time) so I was mad. Then for lack of anything else to watch I started watching when they re-aired it. I was hooked immediately. The characters, the dialogue, the little bits of Chinese. Just everything was so good that I have watched those shows so many times I can tell you where mistakes were made. Still love it today. I have to say that one thing I am so glad that Joss Wheden did not put in this series like in so many other sci-fi is a myriad of aliens in all shapes and sizes. This makes it even more real to me. This was your best show EVER Joss, I think you think so too. OH and kudos for the music, beatuful & haunting, I have downloaded all of that also..Score: 5/5

Why buy when films and series are altered without notice! (TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARSFirefly is an outstanding series that, at the very beginning when first seeing it, those of us who love it now, recognized it qualities and loved it instantly then. It is a wonderful mix of science, excitement, and humour. Though I've watched the series over and over - I seem never to tire of the complexity of the characters. Each of them have truly human characteristics, the mix of these develops each of them to be plausible and loveable and a wonderful team. You might think that with all this compatibility there could be no friction, but wonderfully, there is enough friction to create balance. Firefly mixes recognizable past and character types with the greatly distant future as well. Without the aid of ridiculous prosthesis' the show assembles an absolutely wonderful combination of plot, characters, action, adventure, comedy, intrigue, and suspense. FIREFLY is what Star Trek might have been if it hadn't the breaks to cause it to become the legacy it's become. FIREFLY IS FULLY WORTHY OF MY RATING OF (TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARS..Score: 5/5
A future that seems real.Maybe our world will be just like the one in Firefly. The world in this story are so real that you could touch it with your bare hands, so does the characters. After Japanese anime Cowboy Bebop, I have been looking for a similar show until I found Firefly. Try it, you will love the stories and humor. It is bad it was cancelled after first season, but who knows, maybe that is the good thing----make it a masterpiece..Score: 5/5

IconicIt's an overused word but in this instance entirely justified. A whole sub-genre was spawned. It is rare to have a pretext that doesn't feel painfully contrived and inadequate (Allowing for the lack of actual Asians in the series). To have solid special effects, good plot, exquisite writing and engaging characters as well makes for a lot of stars. BSG's reboot demonstrated how to do this as a complete arc. But I think this ship sailed. Leaving us with a James Dean of a series and a solid film to Append it..Score: 5/5

A Very Underrated TV ShowArguably a great show that left as fast as it came and mostly due to Fox Network's inability of stabilizing shows in one slot. This poor show was given bad time slots and then moved to the infamous Friday night death slot. (The day & time of the week when nobody watches TV). Obviously due to the confusion of this insanity, Firefly lost a lot of audiences and it was cancelled. But make no mistake. This is an exceptionally well conceived show from the brilliant mind of Joss Whedon (Creator of Buffy, Angel) Set in the distant future when the two powers of the world, US & China have influenced the course of events in the show and set abroad humanity accross the universe. The show follows the crew of the ship Serenity who are more than willing to take on any jobs that come their way. That said, they have a stow-away on board who hides a dark secret. The best advice i can give you is to watch Firefly and then continue the story in Serenity, the motion picture which followed after the cancellation of the show as the story continues into that. This is no Star Trek. Its actually, in my opinion, better..Score: 5/5
