One of the best shows that never wasIf you are looking for solid storytelling, engaging characters, and a good time with a bowl of popcorn, Firefly delivers. Be warned, it comes with a price. As the third series written, produced, and directed (often) by nerd fanboy Joss Weadon (Buffy, Angel, Marvel's Agents of Shield, Marvel's the Avengers, Alien Resurrection, Cabin in the Woods...), this is the heartfelt project that created a cult following, launched a movie, and leaves you wanting more. Firefly is solidThe originality of the literal Western-meets-space motif, the snappy dialog, the richly diverse set of characters, the chemistry between the actors, and Serenity herself make this one of the best sci-fi TV series of all time. My favorite episodes, in proper order of viewing: Serenity, Shindig, Out of Gas, Ariel, War Stories, and Objects in Space. Out of Gas and Objects in Space are two of the best episodes of TV every produced. Seriously, theyāre beautiful. Favorite lines: āMr. Reynolds? You died, Mr. Reynolds.āSeemed like the thing to do.āWhen you die I canāt hurt you anymore, and I want two days at least, minimum.ā As Niska would put it, the reputation of Firefly is āsolid;ā I just wish ābusiness was still running.ā.Score: 5/5

Best sci-fi ever made for television bar NONE!I didnāt even watch this show until it was cancelled because of the lousy advertising they did for it, and because they took off Dark Angel to bring it in (which was my favorite show at the time) so I was mad. Then for lack of anything else to watch I started watching when they re-aired it. I was hooked immediately. The characters, the dialogue, the little bits of Chinese. Just everything was so good that I have watched those shows so many times I can tell you where mistakes were made. Still love it today. I have to say that one thing I am so glad that Joss Wheden did not put in this series like in so many other sci-fi is a myriad of aliens in all shapes and sizes. This makes it even more real to me. This was your best show EVER Joss, I think you think so too. OH and kudos for the music, beatuful & haunting, I have downloaded all of that also..Score: 5/5

A classic tale from Joss WhedonA must see for those that like Sci-Fi and Westerns. The characters are well developed and interesting. Fox was one of the big factors for this not doing well by playing them out of order when it aired on TV. They put it in a bad time slot and poorly advertised the TV series. Fortunately after the first season, having been pulled by Fox, Jose Whedon produced the movie āSerenityā to conclude it. The movie was highly rated and did very well and was an exciting conclusion to the Firefly series..Score: 5/5

Another great show murdered before it's time!Firefly was a fascinating idea - an ensemble cast existing on the ragged edge, forced to take almost any job that comes along to make it by. FOX, who just killed the terrific "Sarah Connor Chronicles", jumped this one all over the schedualling map, showed the episodes out of order and managed to kill it after one short season. The acting is great, the humour and the drama is expertly done, and any time I watch an episode, it makes me sad for what might have been. I still howl with laughter every time I watch "Jaynestown" and "Our Mrs. Reynolds" ("Whoa. Good bible.") and feel the nervous tension in "Ariel" and "War Stories". Great show. Highly recommended..Score: 5/5

(TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARSFirefly is an outstanding series that, at the very beginning when first seeing it, those of us who love it now, recognized it qualities and loved it instantly then. It is a wonderful mix of science, excitement, and humour. Though I've watched the series over and over - I seem never to tire of the complexity of the characters. Each of them have truly human characteristics, the mix of these develops each of them to be plausible and loveable and a wonderful team. You might think that with all this compatibility there could be no friction, but wonderfully, there is enough friction to create balance. Firefly mixes recognizable past and character types with the greatly distant future as well. Without the aid of ridiculous prosthesis' the show assembles an absolutely wonderful combination of plot, characters, action, adventure, comedy, intrigue, and suspense. FIREFLY is what Star Trek might have been if it hadn't the breaks to cause it to become the legacy it's become. FIREFLY IS FULLY WORTHY OF MY RATING OF (TEN) OUT OF FIVE STARS..Score: 5/5

You'll probably watch this for the rest of your lifeI've lost count of the number of times over the past few years I've been sitting bored in the house and thought "I know, I'll watch Firefly again!". Joss Whedon at his finest, you'll fall in love with the characters very quickly and each episode tells a fantastic story. Firefly brings light-hearted but compelling sci-fi with some great action scenes and excellent dialog. The character development itself is supurb and you'll feel like you really get to know each individual's personalities, quirks and traits. By the end of the series you'll wish so much that Joss was able to continue making this fantastic programme. But it, keep it, you won't regret it!.Score: 5/5

Amazing... ButFirstly, this is an amazing show. No question about it. Infact, this is probably *the* greatest show, of my generation. It's scifi at its best, pure and simple. However! This big however, is nothing about the show. Its about the price. Yes this show is probably worth the amount iTunes is selling it for. Really, Really, Really GoodHonestly, I tried watching this a while back, but couldn't get into the first episode. I just watched the entire series on Netflix in less than a week. It's much better than you might think, and it really didn't deserve to be cancelled. I was only 5 when it was released (although I'm English), and I still like it - despite it being almost as old as me (in terms of TV shows). You really should, at the very least, give it a try... And memorise the theme song... It's really catchy ;).Score: 5/5
