A great start!I really enjoyed the first episode. I wasnā€™t sure what to expect. I really like Jared Padalecki, and enjoyed Supernatural, but sometimes it was too dark for my tastes. One Star Is Too Much!Okay Iā€™ll try to be as concise as possible. Iā€™m a big fan of Walker, Texas Ranger so I watched the pilot b/c of all the hype over this Jared Padalecki acting skills & in my opinion he FAILED MISERABLY!! Not only is his acting horrible he looks nothing like Chuck Norris/Cordell Walker nor does he convey the same confidence & self assurance that Norris did with the character. Not to mention the fact that the guy apparently has no martial art skills at all. How are we suppose to believe that Walker a stoic, confident, well built , & highly skilled martial artists is gonna work under cover for 2 years come back being almost a foot taller looking like a tapeworm with nothing left in him, scared of his own shadow, & unable to fight his way out of a wet paper bag. To me it doesnā€™t fit, work, nor sale so can the show or rewrite it & get someone else to play Cordell Walker b/c having Jared Padalecki attempting to play the part is nothing more than a Embarrassment, Insult/Slap in the face to a very Multitalented Actor & Worlds Champion Martial Artist many times over.
