No. Bring back old Bunk’dThe title says enough. But please read my review. 👇🏻 This was a good show until season three came. They got rid of Xander, Tiffany, and Jorge and added Destiny, Matteo, and Finn (who is Lou’s cousin) . Mallory, Will, and Raphael aren’t bad actors, it’s just the characters they play. Destiny is the stereotypical pageant girl who only cares about herself and winning. Matteo is the stereotypical smart boy who takes advantage of his knowledge and likes to keep everything organized. And Finn is the stereotypical dumb boy who ruins everything and gets away with it. When you really think about it, they’re replicas of the Rosses when they were 12 Destiny = Emma Matteo = Ravi Finn = Luke Another problem is the cabins. Yes, they were destroyed in a fire last season, but can you at least make them the same! Now they’re all fancy and modern. It takes all the summer camp out of “summer camp” . And the worst thing is, they bring them back! In season four! (I’ll talk about season four later) The episodes in season 3 are stupid and boring. When I was rewatching the series on Netflix, in episode 2, Destiny, Matteo, and Finn are having a rough time with their bunk mates. Destiny can’t agree with Zuri, and Matteo and Finn can’t agree with Ravi. So, they go into a bouncy house in the lake (set up by Emma) to blow off steam. But, they float away from the dock, and they need to be saved. In episode 6, the campers get their phones back. BUT it only causes trouble. Ravi and Lou try to impress Murphy with a dish, because he cooks at camp Champion now; Emma needs help around camp, but Zuri is too distracted with her live streams, and she doesn’t want to let her fans down; and Destiny and Matteo fight over Finn. Earlier in the episode, Finn finds a train car. And later, they get stuck in the train car discussing their friend issue. But there’s a snake in the train car with them, and again, they’re trapped and they need to be saved. Again. The plots are overused and so cliched. In episode 13, Destiny, Matteo, and Finn decide to play a jungle game that’s basically Jumanji. Something happens, and they get inside the board game. Wow, they copied Jumanji. Plots, plots, plots, blah, blah, blah, and turns out Destiny just had a bad dream. In the next episode, it’s celebration day for the Moose Rump flood. Don’t know why they’re celebrating a natural disaster that wiped out most of the town. But Finn accidentally opens a “magic” box (classic Finn) and Destiny, Matteo, and Finn end up in 1688! Blah, blah, blah, the episode continues, and turns out it’s just a dream. Again. Seriously, get some different episodes up in here! And the life they impersonated in 1688 is extremely unrealistic. Life wasn’t like that in 1680s! It was probably infected with the plague if ya wanna be really realistic. Now I’m going to talk about season four. The Rosses..are GONE. They keep Destiny, Matteo, and Finn, Delete Emma, Ravi, and Zuri, and replace them with Ava, Noah, and Gwen. The only original character is Lou! And she looks totally different now! On top of the new characters’ actors being terrible, this is supposed to be a Jessie spinoff! How is it a spinoff if the original cast isn’t in the spinoff. It makes NO sense. And remember when I said they brought back the original cabins in season four? Turns out the cabins are less summer camp-y now. And in the season finale, they had a crossover with “Raven’s home” and called it “Raven about Bunk’d” seriously Disney?! Seriously?! Tryna bring back “That’s so Raven” ? Well ya failed. And they should’ve collaborated with the old Bunk’d! And now season five is here and they deleted Gwen and added some older dude named Parker, who I might add is played by Trevor Tordjman. There are enough Parkers in Disney history! Parker Rooney, Parker Plays, and there’s no room for Parker Preston. “Jessie” came out when I was born, and it ended when I was in preschool, so I never got a chance to watch it when it was on. “Bunk’d” was right up my alley and I can’t believe how disappointed I am with what it is now. I’ve always wanted to go to a sleep away camp, but now I’m having second thoughts about it The people who like Bunk’d now are 7 year olds who never saw “Jessie” or the first few seasons. It was better when it was just plain old Camp Kikiwaka The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because the first two seasons were good..Score: 3/5
