TerribleThis is terrible, in ways I would have never imagined. Everything is off here…the storytelling, the fashion…. "Dreary”is the word the comes to mind. There is such a dreariness about everything . “Cringy”, and “trying to hard,” also come to mind. Nostalgic, Elevated, PurposefulThis first season has been an absolute breath of fresh air - it’s funny, nostalgic, and refreshingly compassionate. Watching our three favorite characters evolve and explore life’s possibilities has given viewers that same sense of wonder that SATC once did. The storyline masterfully makes amends with marginalized communities that SATC once poked fun at, serving as a powerful lesson in diversity and inclusion. Some of the acting was a bit rocky, but you have to remember that this was filmed just after the height of the pandemic. None of us were acting “normal” at that point in time, lol. Also, while we all miss Sam, her absence is quite symbolic of life itself - sometimes, people simply grow apart. Hopefully, her brief return in season two will lead to a full-time comeback or provide closure for the fringe group of disgruntled fans. Also notable, the vast majority of die-hard “Sam fans” are also angry about the heightened aspect of diversity and inclusion that this new series has given us. They seem to be a quite hateful and bigoted group of people, to say the very least. Also, unsurprisingly Caucasian. Tbf, if this series doesn’t win a handful of awards, I’ll be grabbing my pitchfork of equity. Lastly, I want to wish everyone, especially the haters, a happy Pride Month ahead 🏳️⚧️🇺🇸🏳️🌈.Score: 5/5

And just like that, they were back!Countless television programs and movie franchises have lost characters over the course of their run. Even ones where the character was a main character but they still went on to do well. Sure, Samantha isn’t there anymore but the series still feels like home. The original series had its place in time but was lacking in variety in many respects. The new series introduces new characters from various backgrounds that blend perfectly with the characters from the first 6 seasons and two films. It was said that nobody wants to see these women in their 50’s but let’s think back to a popular 80’s television program that ran seven seasons with some of the highest ratings in television history, The Golden Girls. Sure, the SATC women aren’t that age yet but between that show, Hot in Cleveland and many others it proves that audiences do want to see women in roles of all ages. That and the new series AJLT is the highest rated HBO Max show yet, so clearly there are SATC fans out there who wanted to see them return and loved it. If you’re upset that Kim is gone, then don’t watch. This SATC fan liked it and is eager to see where they go now that they’re finding their niche all these years later..Score: 5/5

Really enjoyedI really enjoy this series. I am a fan of the original series and feel that “And Just Like That” is what I needed right about now. It’s a feel good show as always but this series deals with death which is something I myself have been having trouble with which is why I say the show seems to come at the right moment for me..Score: 5/5
Gets better, but painfully tries to tick every box!It’s no S&TC but it does get better. The problem is it crams too many characters in, trying to get every ethnicity, sexuality and ability in and focusing on one of the worst tv show characters ever (Che), that’s not so much the actor’s fault, more incredibly bad writing, and not enough on the closest you could get to decent replacements for Samantha (Seema & Anthony). The excuse for Samantha’s absence is terrible! Hopefully season two will rectify these issues. The show works well where it shows women of a certain age don’t have to fade into the background, they can still be vital, have fun and start again. I think a lot of the vitriol comes from people who are uncomfortable with the women portrayed having the audacity to be true to themselves and refuse to become dated stereotypes. Episode 8, Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered is the best..Score: 4/5
DreadfulAs much as I loved the original series this has nothing to do with it. Just the worst. Atrocious writing, even worse acting. The original had Kim Cattrall’s wonderful comedic, when needed touching performance! She was the best part of the show. Happy she is not part of this mess..Score: 1/5
