Characters and StyleMiami Vice is a really well built series. First they chose a great setting: drugs in the gateway from South America to the USA. Then they added three-dimensional characters (even Elvis the alligator has a backstory) and finally, they layered it with period fashion and music. This series was great in the 80's and still is great now. BTW, although Don Johnson wasn't the best actor in the world, he could do "angry" very well..Score: 5/5

First two seasons 4 stars. Third season 3 stars. 4 & 5 season 2 starsThe show started out great. It became the Starsky and Hutch of the 80's...stylistic, violent, sexy, and trend setting. The first season is the best. The second carries on the good times. The third season it is beginning to wear thin. By the fourth season you will be forcing yourself to watch it because you paid and don't want to waste your money. By the fifth season you will be contemplating suicide. The show flamed up immediately so hot that it burned itself out. It began to take the press and reviews and fame so seriously that it became a caricature of itself trying too hard to redue what it had done in the past and in the process it literally became the Starsky and Hutch of the 70's. Here today in a big way and gone just as quickly..Score: 3/5
Missing episode 21??Why does ITunes remove episodes? Possibly the best episode from Season 1, "Evan" is not available. Why does Apple do this? Other than that, this is a show that was ahead of it's time. Great music, great locations. Revived Miami tourism..Score: 5/5

STILL A GREAT TV COP SHOW IN 2020!How can you beat Miami Vice? You canāt because they started the DRUG COP tv shows except for a few others but it is a timeless show and it keeps getting better with age. If you millennials watch people playing games on your phones then give the show a watch and see what you missed from the 1980s and itās just as real as the show promotes regarding the drug wars for then and now. The drug wars are still alive to this day because of our country who continues to buy more drugs and almost any other country. The show is dedicated to stopping drug trafficking but as you know there are lists of small drug pushers out there and the big fish usually get away while the little guys get caught for selling. Itās one of my favorite television shows of all time and I will still watch them today. The actors did a great job during those times and I got into law enforcement because of that show. It was a very inspirational show for me during the 80s. I hope anyone interested will give he show a shot since some of our current trends came out of that tv show in the current times except for baggy pants and big hair which are no longer a thing! So many memoriesDid we really dress like that? That series was on from my 8th-12th grade years. The clothes and the music bring back so many memories. Vice was a good show and was able to hold its own with the story and didn't have to depend on the technical aspects that are all over other shows like DNA, GSR, splatter patterns, etc. Now that I am a police officer I still enjoy the show. Seasonal FailNot sure what happened with Seasons 2 - 5, or the best episode from Season 1 [Evan], but this lack of availability forced me to go elsewhere. I'll still give this series 5 stars, because it's always been my favourite Drama growing up. If any show ever deserved a reboot, it was this one! The stories hold up, as well as the acting, and definately the music. In 2 - 3 weeks, I'll have the entire series on Bu-Ray, so this will have to do, for now..Score: 5/5

Why has this not been digitally cleaned up?I only watched a trailer for s1 ep1 and couldn't help noticing the transition to digital is very poor. I would have loved to buy the box set but it's too expensive per episode and not the quality I expect. Shame really as I would love to watch it again..Score: 2/5

AwesomeThis show is something rare and exciting that I wish more people today could appreciate. The excellent plots for every episode together with the epic camerawork, fine acting and fantastic soundtrack make for a show so entertaining and classic that for me it cannot be beaten. Miami Vice is such a great example of entertaining television that people can enjoy time and time again. Whilst it is not set in 2009 as a cutting edge police drama this show is such a classic example of 1980's style that I never fail to enjoy an episode. The quality is very very good and these episodes are worth every penny spent. My personal tips would be Smuggler's Blues and No Exit for a real classic Miami Vice episode not forgetting the timeless 'boat scene' in Calderone's Return..Score: 5/5
