Please - do not kill common sense. Red is NOT KatarinaIf Blacklist authors indeed made Katarina Rostova into Red Reddington than it becomes a fairy tale, where some magical Godmother can turn mice in horses and pumpkin into carriage. I will omit all debatable reasons and only leave three: 1. It is impossible scientifically. Katarina is not transgender - she is biological female with two X chromosomes. Red was captured and his blood samples were taken on many occasions, including the very first episode. You can not mask it or replace chromosome. 2. It is impossible surgically. Katarina is not Wolverine - you can not replace her bone support structure like spine. She was a petite ballerina and Red (Spader) is 5 foot 10, male. Her pelvis, skull, spine - will all have to become semi-synthetic to look and function as male, which impossible by itself and it would also require synthetic nerves and blood vessels, which is also impossible. 3. It is impossible physiologically. Gender change is obviously possible - but it's maintenance requires hormone therapy. And since Katarina is biologically female - Red will have to be under insane life-long regiment of drugs with severe withdrawal symptoms if stopped and his appearance will revert without them. That would become obvious in confinement, especially a long one - when he was on trial..Score: 4/5

Same old story ... UPDATE 5 months later !!!!This is becoming ridiculous ... why is it that whenever iTunes release a n entire series, the total cost is that of all the episodes combined. Then it takes at least 2 months or more until someone goes "why is no-one buying this series" before they realise that because some idiot did not code the algorithm correctly, iTuens is pricing itself out of consideration each time a new series comes out. Either people buy the DVD or they get the whole series for nothing at 1080p resolution - I don't know why iTunes is not fixing this ... oh well, their loss - let's see just how long it takes them to see the light this time round ....
