Great show, but for a ridiculous price.This is probably the best video game adaptation out there. The problem is your paying $100 for the entire season. It doesn’t help that the extras that their probably charging you WAY extra for are all on YouTube. Do yourself a favor and just buy all the episodes individually..Score: 4/5

Incredible Adaptation Of The Last Of UsTruth be told I never played The Last Of Us games until the series was announced and then I bought the games. I played the first game for a little bit and then watched the first episode. It was freaking amazing it stuck close to the opening scene of the game and the script was tweaked a little bit but, I’m cool with it. This is literally the best adaptation I’ve ever seen, it’s 110% better than the Uncharted movie. The casting is incredible( although they could’ve done a little better with Ellie) Pedro plays a great Joel and Belle she has the spunk and foul language Ellie has. One word of caution: the second to last episode there is an attempted rape scene. It doesn’t go into graphic detail but the words that are used and some of the fight sequences make it clear what’s happening. This is an UNBELIEVABLE AMAZING show I highly recommend watching. I can’t wait for Season 2,3 and hopefully 4.Score: 5/5

Great Series, Way Overpriced on iTunes! (April 11th, 2023)$107.83 for the complete first season in HD and $80.73 for the complete first season on SD? That is way too high of a price. And 8 of the 2-8 minute features I can only have by buying the entire season. Where as each individual episode (there are 9 episodes) costs $3 (SD) and $4 (HD). This means I would be paying about $50 or $70 just for those 8 2-8 minute features. Good thing I already have HBO Max. (Too bad those 8 2-8 minute features are not on HBO Max) If this price stays this high I'm just going to wait until it comes out on Blu-ray/DVD in July 2023..Score: 5/5

Love Love Love this showMy wife & I really love The Last of Us. She hasn’t played the game nor will she ever but truly enjoyed Joel & Ellie travelling Canada 🇨🇦 (😏😉) I played the game on PS3 on day 1 of release back in the day (June 2013) & never replayed it again. Freakin' Awesome Show! HBO Great adaptation of a video game.A big thank you to HBO for releasing this amazing TV show on iTunes so quickly. Sometimes greats shows like "The Last of Us" never make it to iTunes. I was never able to watch the series when it aired and have only watched the first episode and I have to say... WOW! what a way to start a series. I just wanted to point out that in episode 01 "When You're Lost in the Darkness" there is a hiccup/stutter in the video between 30:39 - 30:41. For me it's not a game changer, but it was noticeable. I can't wait to sit down and binge watch the entire season this weekend. Update April 12, 2023: This is just a quick update to my post on March 17, 2023 regarding the hiccup/stutter at 30:39-30:41 of episode 1. I downloaded the episode again and it has been fixed. It can’t be for nothingFor the uninitiated this series is based on a 2013 video game of the same name. It is one of the most faithful adaptations of a video game put to film. As a fan of the game I can tell you that they hit all of the major themes and plot points of the story. They did change a few minor things from the game, but I found the changes felt natural because what works in a game won’t necessarily work on film. If you haven’t played the game you get the full story and for fans of the game you get some brilliant additions integrated into the story that just add to the lore. The cast are absolutely brilliant. Everyone nails their character and adds another layer to the already great characters. The infected look amazing and are exactly what you expect to see. Funny enough the theme of the story is love. It can be beautiful and dangerous. They nailed it. Treat yourself to this..Score: 5/5
Amazing showIt’s a great show that will make you care about the characters and then break your heart. There are no filler episodes, just some parts are more focused on the characters and drama than action and some people might not like that but I personally found those episodes just as compelling as the more fast-paced episodes - the characters are definitely the heart of the series..Score: 5/5

PhenomenalI played the game back in 2013 and was blown away and was anxious that the TV show wouldn’t hold up. I’m happy to say that I’m wrong and the whole is great. I was expecting a bit more action however trying to stay within the realms of an element of realism Joel and Ellie couldn’t go through the same volume of clickers and raiders as on the game. The last of us good or not?I found the series to be a tad slow going and funnily enough the most liked episode (episode 3 if I remember) I found the slowest. But saying that it was an enjoyable series and would highly recommend it. The two leads are great, and even with the slow pace and not being as gory as the walking dead. Amazing work by the entire team, but this versionCan’t speak highly enough of this show. I’ll definitely be going back over the episodes. But. Buuuuuut, as others have mentioned it’s not 4k here. Maybe that’s just the deal Apple have had to accept to get it on this platform. Could be they never get 4k, could be a timed thing to keep 4k exclusive on other platforms for now. Who knows.
