Discovery atlas raises the bar as much as Planet Earth didDiscovery Atlas is the best documentary in any form of media to me. After watching both China revealed and Italy revealed, I knew more about both countries 2 hours before watching it. Seeming that they use personal life from the residents, the the individuals' lives, it immerses you into the country more than any other show, and given the show's length, it's actually able to go much more in depth than any other documentary. Must buy for people who love different cultures, it's entertaining too..Score: 5/5

Amazing.I loved it. My favorite Discovery Atlas has so far been the one about Brazil. This is the first time I've seen a show incorporate all of these stories into one excellent episode without boring you to death. I highly recommend that you watch all of the Discovery Atlas episodes!.Score: 5/5
Terrible video formatting if you have a widescreenI purchased the Brazil episode, and this isn't so much a comment on the content of the show as the format that it is in. The video is widescreen, but it is hardcoded in a 4:3 aspect ratio letterbox. This means that if you are viewing it on a widescreen monitor or TV, the video is in the center of the screen, with huge black bars on all sides. You get black bars on the sides (pillarbox), since the computer thinks it is a 4:3 video. And there isn't a way to zoom the video with iTunes. This is really a pity, since it doesn't do justice to the content of this series. I will be looking elsewhere to purchase the rest of the episodes..Score: 2/5

Discovery Atlas, China Season 1I love all things Chinese, and this Atlas presentation was not a disappointment. The colors were brilliant and the individual stories from the different aspects of Chinese society were very interesting and informative. I particularly appreciated the story of the "Bow Maker", an art form from ancient China. Certainly, this presentation fed my desire to know more about this intriguing culture. Thank you..Score: 5/5

Atlas China: A ReviewProduction value is excellent. Unfortunately, the writing is Western-Centric, one-sided and condescending to the point of distraction. To assert, for example, that the partnership between a Chinese developer and an American architect is responsible for bring 'alfrescoā dining to China is beyond absurd. Street food is a Chinese tradition and it is found virtually everywhere here in China. A ridiculous documentary; nice to look at but unfortunately it totally feeds into the type of bias that is all too common. Total crap and an essentially disrespectful view of a wonderful culture and country..Score: 2/5
Great content, poor qualityā¦Saw this on Discovery HD and was a amazed by it. Had to get it - unfortunately these are only available in SD and the experience and quality is not the same. In fact, the rendering and the quality is very poor even compared with other SD videos I have from iTunes. The program is amazing and would love to watch it with all the glory and emotion that I got while watching it on TV but this purchase was a bust..Score: 2/5
