Bad preview ClipsI'm old so I remember the show... but most of the preview clips here show you just opening credits... I only downloaded one of the episodes... one of what I consider the funniest in TV history... In Turkeys Away... Arthur Carlson says "As God as My Witness I thought turkeys could fly." ... You'll be rolling on the floor crying with laughter if you ever see this episode! Since it's an old show I wish they'd show part of the show rather than the opening credits each time..Score: 4/5

Probably NOT Itunes FAult..but still just not the same... :(I was so excited when I heard this was on DVD, and then found it on itunes, only to be let down lower than having never seen it re-released to begin with. Probably 1/2 of the jokes (which you really have to be watching close to catch, or have that sort of mantality to appreciate dual meaning things) are WITH the MUSIC! Are we going to start re-writing the hisotry books and replacing names or places now for our kids because they aren't politically correct? The show will NEVER be the same w/o the original music. That being said, the reason some places do have the original music and other places do not, is not under control of itunes, but from the creators and owners to the rights of the music. WKRP used hundreds of songs, and some of those will not, at any cost, give rights to their music being used. The ones that will give permission, are the ones you see now. So, we really need to go after the ones holding the rights to the songs, not poor itunes, to get things changed. I am very greatful I read here first about the lack of the proper music and deleted scenes. Until then, I was going to purchase the whole season. Now, well...think i'll try to figure out which episodes do have original stuff, and which don't..and only purchase the ones which have not been hacked away. BTW, this is /THE/ ***GREATEST*** SHOW EVER MADE!!!! Sooner or later, we'll get to have our uncut, untampered with original versions. The public won't stand for anything less!.Score: 4/5
Too Bad About The MusicI just was listening to an interview with Tim Reid and Tom Dreesen and WKRP was mentioned. Tim mentioned what a shame it was that the show had to be re-edited with fake music because of royalties and licensing fees. That's too bad. I would have purchased the whole season if it was the actual show rather than an interpretation of it. I can relate with many of the posts here. It was a fantastic show and AOR radio was real back then. As a teenager in the '70s in Richmond Va., there was a show on late Saturday nights called "Mellow Madness". The DJ's name was "Ty" and he was very much like Venus Fly Trap. Well, at least talking about the show brings back fond memories. Too bad I won't see it. Anyone know where there are original versions of WKRP to be found?.Score: 1/5
Set a high bar for team castsThis show set the bar VERY high for the sitcoms that would follow which featured an ensemble cast. Some (like Friends and That 70's Show) also managed to pull it off, but very few could rise to the level of the mighty WKRP. ** One question: when is iTunes going to post the rest of the seasons!? **.Score: 5/5
Thanks for the warningI was going to purchase this season, but now because of the music being removed, I think I will pass. I really enjoyed the show in the 70's and have been waiting for the first season to be published. What a disappointment..Score: 3/5
A Commercial BreakNot only does the Ferryman Song make me laugh but the dance that Ferryman does is priceless..and with Bailey, Venus, Less and Jennifer waving bye bye at the end of the song......priceless!! Makes me laugh every time..."Mortician man with the plan...Ferryman....".Score: 5/5
So happy to have the gang backJust finished watching "Pilot, Pt. 1" and boy is it great to have the WKRP gang back. Because of this music rights fee issue show hasn't been in reruns in the LA market since the early 90s (wore out my old VHS tapes years ago) and I'd forgotten how much I missed it. The outstanding ( and groundbreaking) writing, the wonderful ensemble play among actors who relished their roles and simple direction made me laugh all over again, especially since the episodes are original broadcast complete. Yes, the original music has been replaced by awful noise but, in the long run, you're going to enjoy the comedy a lot more than you're going to miss 15 seconds of Grover Washington or 20 seconds of Pink Floyd. So lets order up these episodes so the next two seasons will be released. Addendum after viewing one of the episodes. At the beginning of the "Bailey's Show" episode Venus puts on a record and, low and behold, it is not the crappy replacement music but the actual song "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by Taste of Honey. Was this a slip up or will there be other instances of the original music showing up? Stay Ituned..Score: 5/5

Classic show, but missing the classic rockThis release of one of the funniest sitcoms of all time is let down by the fact that they couldn't get the rights to the classic rock tunes used in each episode when the show first aired. A travesty to a great sitcomThis show was about raw rock & roll. Music was central to making this a brilliant sitcom. The music industry wanted to renegotiate their contract for digital rights and thus greed destroys a classic. The great cast still shines but what's the point when generic alt rock is playing in the background? I only bought the pilot (thank god) but I do wonder what they will do for the John Lennon Imagine episode. This is worse than Lucas inserting crappy digital dinosaurs into star wars claiming he wanted them there originally! Please please redo with original music.
