Reality Bites (mostly)I am NOT a fan of reality TV. What you see in 99% of the reality TV out there is merely the byproduct of putting lazy, arogant, and truely bizarre people together in questionable situations. Top Chef is a breath of fresh air. THIS show highlights what happens when you put some of the most talented up-and-coming chefs around into a truely professional and competitive environment. The judges are all VERY respected members of highly critical fields who base their judgements solely upon what the chef's bring to the table (if I can be allowed a slight pun). Though the show does touch occasionally on some of the various problems that the chefs have with each other personally, the show is by NO means dependent upon it (like the majority of the reality shows out there). It is more reminiscent of Iron Chef (the original Japanese version if you can find it dubbed into English). In short...this reality show gets an A+++ from a non-reality show kinda guy. Well done Chef Colicchio and Bravo. No wonder Chef Ramsey's shows are taking a nose dive!!!.Score: 5/5
Fabio makes it worth my while.Hey there. I've watched previous seasons and this one is OK but so far lacks the characters that past seasons have had. I can say that Fabio is the most entertaining of the contestants remaining. He is hilarious. His indignant "tell me why I am here?" when he was one of the top chefs of the week was priceless. Love the accent and the fact that he isn't hard to look at doesn't hurt either!.Score: 4/5
