It gets better!I wasn't too crazy about the 'new' V. I used to be a big fan of the original V. But if you watch the show, without comparing and just see it as another invasion-type series, it is good in it's own way. I especially like Laura Vandervoort. I don't understand why season 2 episodes can't be bought. Even on the V website, they don't even allow you to watch an episode you may have missed. Continuity mattersI watched the original series and i think this remake was a great idea. Characters are good and story line is excellent,lots of shadowing the original. If I Could Give This Lower Than a One...This is the biggest waste of time that is currently running. The acting is terrible, the writers are terrible, and the plot lines are simply dumb. Needs more workI grew up watching the original pilot and the series back in '84. In the original I LOVED the sound of those shockwave V guns ... so sound was so loud! This pilot followed the original a little TOO closely, although the names changed (Diana vs Anna). Even the hand gestures of Anna's right hand man (the posture of the V made by the hands). I'm hoping the writing will delve deeper into this and even more into the characters beyond just shock value and CGI animation. I will watch this for a few more shows hoping it'll evolve into something better. And to the producer and story board writers ... please challenge the actors more - this pilot looked a lil cheesy in this regard. Sad since many of the actors are recognizable and have potential to do better than "B" rating skills..Score: 5/5

Don't get Ep. 5 !This new version of an old series V is great with a new cast, aliens called V trying to take over the earth and the 5th column trying to stop them. My word to other fans: don't get episode 5 which I mistakenly did although it's free. It's just basically a recap of the 1st 4 episodes of this show, which will spoil the surprise for later episodes. Great Program great season passI know many people here giving out crap about the ep 5, but what I say treat it as a freebie.. since the blu ray disc of this season costs £29.99 in most online stores, the price tag of £17.99 is a steal!!!. looks freaking sweet in hd on the I Pad even better if you can get it on hd tv, I know its same as blu ray but I struggle to see much if any real difference. once again great price for great show, which Is shocking since apple normally charge way over the top.Score: 5/5
Ok, but...Not a bad remake. Not particularly deep either. The original was always a directionless and patchy affair. This reload fairs well in comparison. However, I agree with others on here: Don't buy episode 5! It's just a recap. It's insulting that they were allowed to publish this episode without describing it as a recap. An indication perhaps of how little they think of their audience? Can someone please tell these people some of us have to go to work to earn our money?! This series is worth a look if you're a sci-fi geek. Let’s hope it goes somewhere other than the middle of the road..Score: 3/5
