Interesting but full of inconsistenciesI was quite taken by the story and the main female characters, Anna the villain (very cruel) and Erica the brave FBI agent, but was put off by inconsistencies: why the Fifth column does not expose on TV what the V really look like? Why the half-V baby is delivered without an epidural or a cesarean, when the V are supposed to have the most advanced medicine?? Where are the V 's tails? How can Anna have only ONE grown-up daughter AND thousands of eggs?....Score: 3/5

Dont buy #5 its a recap and should be explained as suchI would like to say i really like the v series and the 1st 4 episodes were great. Bravo à Simoneau et à son équipe pour avoir revampé cette série culte de sci-fi adapté aux réalité socio-politique actuel (2001-2011) avec brio et avec plein de clind d'oeil de ce qui se passe dans le mainstream media et l'atl media! Fort intéressant et bien présenter. De très bons effets visuel, une forte histoire. le seul hic: on sentais que les producteurs n'y croyaient pas et cela semble avoir affecté le script dans le jeu des acteur et du build-up de certains personnage: du genre n'en mettons pas trop, car on ne sait pas Disney-ABC va tirer laplug, ce qu'ils ont malheureusement fait... Unbelievably mediocreSo... bad writing, wooden performances, horrid pacing, cardboard characters, embarrassingly 2dimensional relationships and a formulaic network tv story-telling style is what passes for "awesome" these days?!?! honestly, I am NOT understanding how this show is seen as anything but a poorly conceived copy of the much more brilliant original! it's NOT EVEN SUSPENCEFUL! wow, I grew sooooo bored during episode 2... and these characters!!! wow, talk about having no reason to care what happens to them!- it's no wonder the network was so worried about the writing that they fired the head writer, demoted the showrunner and stopped production for a major overhaul! it's no surprise 4 million viewers have abandoned the show since it's premier... I can't see how the numbers won't get worse! sorry, do yourselves a favour and rent the far superior, epic and chilling original! thus one won't be around for long... (and btw, Kenneth Johnson-the original creator- in NO way shape or form is related to this series, he has not and will not be writing any future episodes regardless of what has been written here!!! besides- he's too busy preparing his V motion picture!).Score: 1/5

VBloody shameless, pilfering gits - episode 5 is a mis-representation of what peeps think they are getting an actual episode - should I not get a refund then I will be contacting trading standards - Apple have a case to answer, and I certainly feel that they should do the honourable thing and refund the money wasted, complain & contact trading standards as a matter of principle. Episode 5I have been a loyal supporter of iTunes since it first appeared, but I recently bought episode 5 of V and I felt cheated. Shame on you apple for disributing this very misleading episode and asking £1.89. This episode should have been at least free. I have an ipad and iphone and this is not the first time Apple have cheated me. I now plan to cap my spending in the iTunes store and find another company that is more honest..Score: 1/5

Ok, but...Not a bad remake. Not particularly deep either. The original was always a directionless and patchy affair. This reload fairs well in comparison. However, I agree with others on here: Don't buy episode 5! It's just a recap. It's insulting that they were allowed to publish this episode without describing it as a recap. An indication perhaps of how little they think of their audience? Can someone please tell these people some of us have to go to work to earn our money?! This series is worth a look if you're a sci-fi geek. Let’s hope it goes somewhere other than the middle of the road..Score: 3/5

InterestingFirst of all, ignore all those people telling you not to buy episode 5. If you do that and buy the other 12 episodes individually, you will be spending £29.88, instead of £22.99 for the whole series. Secondly, I am extremely annoyed that iTunes are not upfront about how many episodes I am getting for my money when buying a series like this. I was expecting around 20+ episodes as most American TV series' have, yet I only got 12 (as episode 5 is a "catch-up special"). This is the last time I buy a brand new TV Show from iTunes. The series itself is also available on SyFy HD, so if you have cable/satellite, buying this on iTunes makes no sense. The Blu-ray release is not until October 2010 and will cost around £30. The series itself is okay. The special effects are great in some places, and slightly weak and cheap looking in others. The plot is full of holes and gaping flaws - you'd think the V spaceships would have security cameras in every room and corridor (given the other places they have cameras, which I won't spoil for you); and you may start to wonder why the V's speak to each other in English all the time, even when there are no humans present. They also play all the same tricks as other American TV Shows do at the moment - constant but rather clumsy misdirection about certain characters or events, only to confound you at the end of the episode. After watching DEsperate Housewives, Lost, True Blood, etc. it all gets rather easy to spot. Finally, the series ends on a cliffhanger to make a second season inevitable (but which won't be released until mid 2011!). Compared to the original series, I would say this is a bit of a let down - the key reveal about the visitors is given away really early and not in the shocking and suspenseful way the original series did it. The sci-fi is not that great either - this is "sci-fi lite": principally a thriller/drama with the sci-fi is largely incidental to the story. What you do see of visitor technology and weaponry is extremely weak, cheap-looking and never explained, so sci-fi geeks will definitely be left wanting..Score: 3/5
