After the Mayor purchases a haunted temple off the Internet, Crystal Cove's only theme park - Creepy Spooky Terror Land - is besieged by a Manticore, an ancient beast with the body of a dragon, the face of a man and the tail of a scorpion. The Mayor begs the gang to help him solve this mystery and get rid of the Manticore before the theme park goes out of business. Turns out, though, that the park is owned by the father of none other than Hotdog Water, Velma's archenemy at school. And Hotdog Water makes it very clear... she does not want the gang's help..

Modern Edgy Version Of Scooby DooI love this version of Scooby Doo. It stretches far beyond what Scooby has been these past several decades. The animation is linear and edgy with lots of sharp lines. Colors are stark and interesting. No longer in Coolsville and no longer happy go lucky kids that elementary schoolers can identify with, now the gang has real relationship issues, angst, insecurity, that tweens and teens will recognize. Behind the weekly fake monster they uncover, there is a secret mystery involving their town, their families, and their reality in general they come a step or two closer to solving each episode. Plus we are teased as in a soap opera with bits and pieces of their evolving relationships. This is good. Unpredictable and interesting. You will want to re-watch episodes to catch clues you missed the first time watching. And if you are a Scooby Doo fan you will appreciate the clever references to past incarnations of Scooby Doo, including Vincent Van Goul..Score: 5/5
Target AudienceI'm 38 and grew up watching the original series. Being the father of 2 girls I have found the original series to be more conservative and thus "parent approved". I can't let my kids watch the newer seasons because of the "tween" overtones (risky outfits on the girls, questionable language, etc.). The movie spin-offs are also geared towards young teens as well. If you have younger kids you may want to preview an episode or 2 before letting your kids watch..Score: 2/5

What happened?I love old vintage cartoons. My favorite one is scooby doo or any other warner brothers or Hannah Barbera one. So when I heard they were making a new series, boy was I excited. But there are so many mistakes! It's Pathetic. Let's start with the characters. Scooby is no longer the hero and friend of the gang he once was. Instead he just sits there and hardly gets any screen time and never making a single joke. Fred now has a giant stupid-looking chin and is incredibly dumb. Daphne now has inappropriate outfits, and there are many episodes where she wears a bikini. Velma is no longer the brains of the group she once was, and is now rude and snooty. Shaggy is ignored too. Awful!I must say that this version of Scooby-Doo was a major disappointment. The characters look different, act different. It's not that good. After watching the first episode, I had no interest in watching it anymore. Just horrible! I noticed that Patrick Warburton did the voice of the sheriff in this version of Scooby-Doo, the same guy who played Kronk in Disney's the Emperorās New Groove. I have also noticed that some people have written other reviews here on iTunes that are talking about this version of Scooby-Doo getting more inappropriate for kids. Warner Brothers and the unlovable great dane lose the plot..Score: 1/5
It is awesomeI think that the season is awesome and I can't wait for the rest of season 2 to come out because I anticipate that it will be even better than Chapter 26 was. Surprisingly goodThis reboot of the Scooby Doo franchise is surprising in its appeal to both fans of the classic series and to a new audience. It features an ongoing story arc over the first season (and continued into the second) which is a welcome addition. There's the occasional nod to classic villains and stories, with some interesting twists thrown in. The show is ever so slightly tongue-in-cheek, which works well, but no so much that the stories are silly. Overall, a great addition to the Scooby Doo name with excellent animation and voice acting..Score: 4/5

Mystery ElaboratedI'd never been a big fan of the Scooby Doo franchise growing up, so when this series was recommended to me, I approached with trepidation. Thankfully, it paid off. In the spirit of the original series, each episode has a "monster of the week" plot device, but it all serves a larger story arc. For kids, this may a fun half hour, edging on the scary side, for those older, it is littered with reference to many horror and sci-fi franchises, as well as giving all the characters an extra dimension..Score: 5/5
