HBO Makes TV HistoryHBO has done the impossible. Game of Thrones is arguably the most ambitious, lavish, & audacious production ever created for TV, only having its predecessor, Rome, for comparison. With one of the most expensive budgets in TV history, it has created a world of unmatched size & scope. In order to create its breathtaking universe, production includes filming in 6 countries spanning 3 continents, & boasts an Oscar worthy script, soundtrack, visual effects, art direction, cinematography, & costume design. With stellar cinematic photography & sets, it is anything but standard TV fare. Due to its enormity, endless imagination, outstanding lead cast & an ensemble of hundreds, this fantasy has warranted comparisons to LOTR. However the content of the show is anything but the cliches that we have become accustomed to in fantasy. The show is best described as a never ending struggle for power among rival players from all ends of society who, instead of being clearly good or evil, fall into a broad spectrum of ethical ambiguity. The show explores a wide range of real world issues including Machiavellian politics, human sexuality, social hierarchies, crime & punishment, religion in government, political corruption, civil war, struggles & afflictions of the ostracized, & the affirmation of women. Remarkably, the series covers them all. It can do this because it is based upon the landmark fantasy book series "A Song of Ice & Fire". With the books as its source, the show adapts much of its rich materiel with few deviations. There are moments that will make one gasp in awe, scenes that fill one with wonder & joy, & shocking images that will cause anguish & heartache. The show holds nothing back. Horrible I have ever seenI just want to say that this film is so freaking horrible pretty much I never want to watch this again when why it's because there's a lot of people dying and of course some main character which plays by Sean bean dies in this one I just found that sad and one and second of all it's way too fantasy just way too much and three there's way too much sex and nudity They just get way too carried away with this I just want to say is this is nowhere near as good then Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, Oz, and the wires, I'm hundred percent never gonna watch the show again never in my life I'm going to give this one out of five.Score: 1/5
