A rape victim is brought to the hospital after a harrowing hours-long ordeal, and Benson (Hargitay) recognizes the suspect’s M.O. from a case she solved eight years ago. The jailed rapist confessed to Benson after a tough interrogation but has been claiming his innocence ever since his conviction. The SVU squad is forced to reopen Benson’s old case to determine if they are dealing with a copycat or a case of wrongful imprisonment. As Benson’s detective work is challenged, her personal relationship with Executive ADA Haden (Harry Connick Jr.) is also placed in jeopardy when Counselor Bayard Ellis (Andre Braugher) gets involved. Also starring Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro) and Kelli Giddish (Detective Amanda Rollins.).

True believersThat was the only good episode not because of the acting, which is always bad, but because of how it showed 5 groups of people's view in a situation which relies only on a witnesses testimony. It showed the witnesses perspective, told the defendants story, showed how the SVU's actions effect the trial and the witness, and showed the motive of the Defendants lawyer. Well done. TV is where screenplay writers shineWriters for L&O: SVU long ago established that SVU detectives have a tendency to burnout after 2-3 years exposure to those types of cases. Then why have we not seen ANY detective mentally deteriorate? Actually, they have. Look at earlier SVU seasons and compare them to modern day episodes. There is a drastic change in acting styles, which alludes that the character has changed. I, for one, am glad to see the character Elliott eliminated and wonder why it took so long. The same goes for all of the other characters who appeared for more than three seasons. IMO, the writers for Season 13 of this show have lost focus. We only occasionally see due process in the courtroom, and when shown, the prosecution loses. L&O: SVU writers should bring back the original L&O writing formula for successful Season 13 SVU episodes. As far as the actors, give the up and coming stock of actors a chance to hone their and this show's over-seasoned thespians to expand the realm of their craft – for instance, the place where actors shine, on stage..Score: 3/5
What's the problem?Why is everyone bashing the show because Elliot isn't there? It isn't the shows fault-- he wanted to leave the show himself. The season as a whole was pretty good considering. And I don't remember another season landing on a cliffhanger like that! I miss Elliot too, but the show is still close to my heart..Score: 4/5

Danny Pino is NOT Elliott!Producers need to re-examine their casting decisions. Great writing begs for chemistry between actors that works! Pino appears bland...Giddish works but without Olivia's depth, the show would die. Perhaps management will see the light and invite Stabler back!?!.Score: 3/5

Better writing!!I really like the new cast! i've always loved kelli giddish and danny pino is a very nice looking man! the only problem is the writing has gone south! they need to get some new ideas in there! the story lines need a little kick to give that shock factor1 but love how they are more personal with the characters this season!!!.Score: 4/5
