Australia is so LuckyMy review is not so much the season as it is a rant against HBO itself Somehow any and all HBO Shows are available only in Australia as its current season airs. Everywhere else we just get the wait until the Blu-Ray comes out for the digital version. True Blood Strikes AgainTrue Blood has been a defining series from the start for HBO. While most people were really unhappy with the storyline this season and felt that it was convoluted, I personally did not feel that way. I thought that the whole concept of Lillith was interesting since it showed that even the characters whom we have seen from the very beginning at a very primitive nature to them that couldn't be erased. The finale though was pretty cool with the authority. However, some of the story lines are really not necessary like Alcide's storyline towards the end of the season. Also, Terry's storyline did not need to span an entire season. Also, the entire Warlow and fairy conflict thing will be resolved in Season 6 so you don't have to wait that long to have answers. I really liked this season. Though it was not the best, it beats the FInal Season (Season 7) by a long shot..Score: 4/5
Uhrg...See, I understand that Alan Ball is trying to make the show provocative for people like me, who HAVE read the books- by deviating from the origonal plot. I LIKE that he's doing this- I just don't like HOW he's doing this. After seeing Season 5, It becomes clear that he took that idea and ran with it....a bit to far. I think that in his attempt to make it stimulating- He has made it convoluted and the content of the characters we fell in love with has suffered for it. That being said- I'm hanging in there and hoping he Recovers from this. However- If certain Characters or incarnations of said characters do not appear that are CRUCIAL to Sookie's make-up...(Such as Niall and Mr. Cataliades) It will have been in vain. Get on the Ball, Mr.Ball! :D.Score: 3/5
Where is Season 6? --- In AustraliaLove this show, however why suddenly this season, is the show not available for download on iTunes? Really disappointed that for some reason Australia has this show before the U.S does. Discount past seasons??? $52 showed $32 for an hourReal trend in Canadian ITunes Store to gouge scifi and geek friendly shows - many are 30-100% (Gotham/Flash/Arrow...) more here than American iTunes Store and waiting to no end for many like Vikings S2 shown multiple times and on sale other sources but still not avail here.
