Great comic adaptationI will admit that I wasn't very familiar with Green Arrow since I've only seen the character in Justice League Unlimited and Smallville. After watching the first episode, Arrow became one of my favorite tv shows. Stephen Amell does a pretty good job playing the role of billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (aka Green Arrow). The rest of the cast play their characters well. I really love the nods to other DC comic characters like Black Canary. Also, I love the fact that the Queen mansion was the same mansion that Lex Luthor & Professor X owned in Smallville and the X-Men film series respectively..Score: 5/5

Awesome plotSome people who have found the plot silly haven’t watched the full series and have just based judgement on a couple of episodes. Everything wrong with gritty reinterpretations in five episodesThis is the story of a man who got shipwrecked on an island for 5 years and therefore decided to hunt down and terrorise a list of people his father vaguely suggested might not be the nicest people. And he was on the island because his mother sabotaged their yacht to kill his father, and she also wants him dead for no apparent reason. Within days of returning home, Oliver Queen becomes a fully-equipped vigilante with all sorts of weapons that he had no possible way of obtaining alone, which he uses to kill countless henchmen in cold blood, threaten and extort people he doesn't understand and just generally cause pain and devastation in the world's most poorly lit docklands. He claims he's doing good, especially when he targets another vigilante who kills his own targets. But Oliver is also a killer, so there is no moral high ground and this is basically just a turf war. And he's incapable of keeping his escapades a secret; He's caught on CCTV placing his gear and recovering it. But the police let him off because the investigator had a personal grudge and no one else was available apparently, meaning that the only reason there are more than five episodes is that the police in this city are utterly incompetent. Arrow is visually dour, morally repugnent, needlessly convoluted and full of plot holes..Score: 1/5
Another missed opportunityWhat a waste of a concept. Terrible (and I mean god awful) actors! Casting based on looks is pathetic. To be fair they are given some of the most stilted, incomprehensible dialogue so maybe not entirely their fault. I was so excited for this comic book to be made into a regular series instead of a movie every two years. Recast and try again..Score: 2/5
