Awesome!!!!Loved it! Yes of course as a firefighter there are things you can't help seeing that don't work like that....but good story potential and good cast. Love that they keep it real with the rigs, the station and all. I'm definitely buying the season! It was about time they make a good show about fire! Miserable….and I'm a firemanI'm a fireman for a large southern california agency. My question to the producers of this series is, have you ever BEEN to a fire station?? Over the years there have been some incredibly cheesy fire/police/rescue shows out there (i.e. Trauma, 3rd watch, ER) but this one tops them all. This is the cheesiest, most unrealistic, borderline offensive show about firefighters that I've ever seen. I would love to subscribe to another Firefighting based series but please do us all a favor and STOP MAKING THIS SHOW.Score: 1/5

Good not great, but the potential is thereI have enjoyed this program, even though it is populated by the archetype cast of characters: The New Kid, The Grizzled Veteran Leader, The Can't Settle on Anyone Right Now Bad Boy with a Heart of Gold, The All-American Wants-a-Family Golden Boy, the Girl Who Wants the All-American-Boy but Ooops He's Already Spoken For (this IS a soap opera, after all), the Comic Relief Goofball Dude, and even a With-It Lesbian Chick Cause Hey This Is a Very Now Kind of Show. At least these folks are good actors; they are doing the most with all this standard fare characterization. All of that formulaicity aside, I *still* like this show, and what will keep me watching is seeing if these characters have any real depth at all. The second episode was quite promising for the Bad Boy (that was some good acting there, Mr. Kinney), so I'll keep watching. I hope this show finds its stride soon. It could possibly be very good if it starts turning ... you know ... creative..Score: 4/5

I like itSo I admit it... I live in Chicago, I liked Jesse Spencer in House, and I like the shows Dick Wolf makes. What else can I say? I thought it was kind of funny that it seemed they had to show the Sears Tower in every single long skyline shot. But it was an honest depiction of Chicago... most of the day shots showed grey days. Downtown looked characteristically lovely. And most of the action took place in the "neighborhoods". That's real life around here folks. The funniest part? When Mayor Rahm came up to shake hands w/the fireman, he couldn't stop himself from sticking his tongue out and licking his chops! Typical politician. Hilarious. It's also pretty funny that Dick Wolf didn't reshoot the scene, he let Rahm look like an _____ (well, you fill in the blank, I have to live here). Pretty darn good show though. I'll watch it again..Score: 5/5
