Expecting more like first three seasonsDidn't find the first episode this year that well paced or put together. The laugh track was horrible. Abid would have never dreamed of a laugh track in my pov. Great Show, But Discounted Price Is Still Too HighSeason 4 is (as of now) only going to have 13 episodes. A $29.99 price would equate to $60 for a normal-length season, which is definitely too high for the show. Will consider buying if the price drops to something like $19.99..Score: 5/5
Old vs NewI think that all of the community fans that were here from the start (Season1) can see a diffrence and is some what disappointed with season 4. All the newbies think this is a 5 star show because they haven't seen the previous seasons. In any case however we can agree it is still a great show and everything will be fyne (see S4E1). I think we all know what's up.Episode 4 of Season 4 is the first hint of old Community that we've seen all season, and it's clear as day as to the cause of the overall quality nosedive. Yes, Dan Harmon, who was the heart and soul of this show is no longer a part of Community, at this point. But also, several key writers have left, as well as a few actors (not even really referring to grumpy Chevy here). Most noticeably, the new showrunners have no idea where to take the show, and so now we're just pointlessly rehashing old, worn out themes - Jeff and Annie again?? Pierce being a selfish old man?? Britta wearing a ridiculous Halloween costume?? This is a hollow shell of the show it used to be, and it's extremely obvious, at this point. Go back and watch "Pillows and Blankets" and tell me it isn't funnier than any of this nonsense..Score: 2/5

Best Episodes: 4.2, 4.4, 4.6, 4.10, 4.11, 4.13Upon rewatch, some episodes are way better than I remember. At $10 for the season, it's worth buying. The premise, writing, humor, and tone of my favorite episodes would fit naturally into seasons three and five. My favorites are: 4.2 Paranormal Parentage, 4.4 Alternative History of the German Invasion, 4.6 Advanced Documentary Filmmaking, 4.10 Intro to Knots, 4.11 Baic Human Anatomy, 4.13 Advanced Introduction to Finality.Score: 5/5
