Seriously LOVE this series!!First of all I love period pieces that are factually based and really well done and The White Queen is no exception!! Being a limited series made for TV I expected it to be low budget and on the cheesy side but I was SO happy that I was wrong! Not only does it not look low budget, but the most important thing is that it is incredibly well acted and the casting is really well done. I was very pleasantly surprised with the performance quality of the main cast, this series really does have great acting in my opinion. Not only is the acting fantastic, but the chemistry between Elizabeth (Rebecca Ferguson) and Edward IV (Max Irons) truly is exceptional, the viewer is transported to another time and can really feel the immense amount of love these two had for one another. These two actors really are fantastic, both together and singularly, and I honestly would love to see them paired up again in a future project! There are two more series that continue the story line (The White Princess and The Spanish Princess) but this, in my opinion, is by far the best of the bunch in terms of acting and chemistry. If you like period pieces, especially ones based on real events and fantastically acted, then this series is a definite MUST SEE!!!.Score: 5/5

Not gonna lieI enjoyed this series very much, but was very happy to hear that it is continuing. Not gonna lie, less than thrilled that from what I've read EVERYONE of the main characters have been recast. Children, of course, they grow up, but the other characters? Amazing Historical SeriesAmazing series on the power behind kings. The power of women. I have always been interested on the history of England. This is a great summary on what comes before the Tudors. The war of the roses between the Yorks and Lancasters. What a paradox that Margaret Beaufort - an extremely devoted Catholic- brings with the power of prayer the Tudors to the throne who later expel the Catholic Church of England to establish the Church of Anne Boleyn..Score: 5/5

Afterthought. This is the emotional paradox that those who have a memory, even a'ittle-badder than normal memory, face who read novels of which are then converted into tv/movie: Forethought/Afterthought. Staying true to the novel = Basically you have just presented an afterthought of a story. Veering away from the novel = Everybody and their mother wants to beat you in for 'ruining!' the entire world by presenting a forethought that Tried to trump the great author's work, how dare you attempt to destroy the world; At least that world that words brought life to within their minds from the book. Changing 'a few things' from the novel: People emote wildly, argue, then go on iTunes and write a 'meh' review that says that, basically, you nearly destroyed the entire world, but thankfully, you only did nearly everything wrong, so it...was OK. Unforgivable. It was fine. The key is.....likely to construct your own story for this tv show but contructed with the show 'inspired by the Phillipa Gregory novels'. In my mind, everybody in the novel was a supermodel, so naturally, I wanted to see in this tv show everyone, men included, as a size zero-zero. So now, Im unhappy. The lines from the book? Remember how...nice they were in your head while you read the novel? Prepare to hear a not-doublezero-supermodel novel-cookiecutter character recite them again. Word for word. And the casting for this show Did do a cookiecutter's novel description-based boringly good job. ....yay. I actually guess/skimmed two episodes and was thinking: [no spoilers] 'Ok, now he is going to get mad and say 'Bleh, I hate you' and now she is going to go in the ferry, yup, okay now..they all die, but I wish that guy would die instead-he needs a makeover And he has a layer of fat that should be muscle, wait...is it muscle?-but they die..likely in the next ten minutes?...oh good! A war! They did die in the last ten minutes, now...Oh! You know what, inner self? I can just skip this entire episode! And this episode! And this episode! Why doesnt anyone here have any eyeliner on?' Good thing I never read the ending of the novel. Watch it if you DIDNT read the novel ONLY. Addictive!I enjoyed HBO's "The Tudor's" very much, and decided to try "The White Queen", which I had heard very little about. I have to admit, I was hooked from the first episode! It has all the elements of engaging drama I love-romance, intrigue, duplicity, and epic battle scenes! Is this completely historically accurate? Um, no. If I want that, I'll go to The History Channel. This delectable series is for those of you out there who want to just escape for a time and be thoroughly entertained! Enjoy!.Score: 5/5

The White Queen is a riveting portrayal of one of the most dramatic and turbulent times in English history. A story of love and lust, seduction and deception, betrayal and murder, it is uniquely told through the perspective of three different, yet equally relentless women - Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville. In their quest for power, they will scheme, manipulate and seduce their way onto the English throne. The year is 1464, before the Tudor dynasty ruled the country, and war has been ravaging throughout England over who is the rightful King. It is a bitter dispute between two sides of the same family, The House of York and The House of Lancaster. The House of York’s young and handsome Edward IV is crowned King of England with the help of the master manipulator, Lord Warwick “The Kingmaker.” But when Edward falls in love with a beautiful Lancastrian commoner, Elizabeth Woodville, Warwick’s plan to control the throne comes crashing down. A violent, high-stakes struggle ensues between Elizabeth, her most fierce adversary, Lancastrian Margaret Beaufort, and Anne Neville, the pawn in her father’s power game - each woman vying for the crown.
