Go SD version- season passGot SD season pass, no complaints. Airs Saturday, downloads Sunday. Quality just fine, 720p plenty good for my viewing. This new Doctor seems darker, moodier and plods into solutions rather than knows the solution. The writing this season at first not meeting my expectations but the recent introduction of "Missy" has me interested but I admit the forest in London and the train in space were different and entertaining. The underlying theme to this season seems to be about someone that has been minipulating the Doctor and Clara which is now pointing to this "Missy", can not say more, spoilers! It won't give me my episodeI purchased the season pass and I got all the episodes until last week. After the episode came to iTunes it's telling me to pay $2.49 for that episode. And then last nights episode came out and did the same thing. And I payed for all 14 episodes with my season pass! But it's not giving it to me!!!!😡.Score: 1/5
Love the Doctor, despise the pricingI love these episodes but a 10 dollar difference between SD and HD is ridiculous in my opinion. Whoever determines the pricing should be sent off to Skaro! I’m going to have to wait for a discount on this one. Love the episodes. Peter Capaldi is awesome. I loved Matt Smith and David Tennant, but got tired of the ‘romance’ aspect to the story lines. This Doctor is all business. “No flirting on the TARDIS” with this Doctor and I love it! A bit of flash mixed with a clean mouthed Malcolm Tucker sold me. Can’t wait for the next season with him. Season 8 was FANTASTICHere's a novel idea review the show, not whine about the price. If people want to read reviews they review the content, not how much it costs. The price is there, click buy or don't. Nobody cares what you think about the price, what your budget is. Buy it or don't. Maybe layoff McDonald's or Starbucks a couple times a month. Season 8 was fantastic, as is Peter Capaldi. I still like David Tennant the best but maybe if I get 3 solid seasons from Capaldi that might change. Matt Smith got REALLY BORING and in watching marathons on BBC I find his episodes the one I turn away from, especially towards the end. I too was getting Clara fatigue, but Jenna Coleman really brought it all together in Season 8. Of course better scripts helped. I do wish the Christmas Ep was included, but since it never has been, I'll not worry about it. I'm actually going to buy the Blu-ray discs of this not just iTunes (which is what I have every other season on (except season 7 I just haven't brought myself to buy it). Highlights of Season 8 are Listen, Time Heist, Dark Water and Death in Heaven. For me the only clunker was Robots of Sherwood. Capaldi's darker, mature take on the Doctor is so refreshing. I hope he stays on for many seasons!!! Buy Season 8 because it is GREAT!!!!.Score: 5/5

Worst Doctor of the New SeriesI was really excited when I first heard that Peter Capaldi would be taking over the role of The Doctor from Matt Smith. While Matt Smith was a pleasant surprise, Peter Capaldi has been a longtime favorite. Unfortunately, this season has failed to live up to its potential. Some of this may be Capaldi’s desire to make The Doctor more “alien”, but a good portion of the blame must fall on the writers. This season had some of the worst plot lines I have seen in years. The plot seemed disjointed in places - our first introduction to Peter Capaldi as The Doctor leaves the viewer wondering if there was another Prequel episode somewhere that would fill in some of the gaps. While there is always SOMETHING of a gap between seasons, this is by far the worst I have ever seen. Much of this seasons seems like they were either running short and started grabbing 10-second ideas to fill time, or else they had a lot of 10-second ideas and weren’t patient enough to write them into full episodes. I can only hope that Season 9 brings some improvement..Score: 1/5
Good seasonIt is by no means David Tennant and/or Matt Smiths seasons. Capaldi does well, however, Jenna Coleman saves the show! I hope they choose a different actor for the doctor. Still, I am happy I got into The Doctor Who, because there is no other show out there that garners a fan base so wide in age. Kudos!.Score: 4/5

First episodeSomething was very disjointed with this first episode. Also I think if they have to make an episode about explaining why the doctor looks older than the previous one, then - right there it should be a warning sign. A bit like, if you have to explain a joke, then it isn’t properly funny. Without Jenna Coleman, this episode would have had little strength. I do want the new doctor to succeed, but for the first time since it’s return, I’m a little worried about a new season..Score: 2/5
Best series in yearsOkay, so the story with the Moon Baby was kind of awful, and the one with the tiger was even worse, but otherwise this has been one of the best and most consistent series of Who in years. I feel like I can actually watch the episodes on their on merit instead of getting bogged down in whether or not the companion is pregnant with the Doctor's wife etc. I loved Eleven, but hated his arcs. Twelve is just as enjoyable to watch and, so far, there are no bizarre plotlines to take away from that. SCORE!.Score: 4/5

The Twelfth DoctorSo far, this new season is amazing! Just absolutely amazing! But as much as I'm lovingthis so far, this new Doctor is a big disappointment, considering the eleventh and tenth Doctors. And the announcement of Clara's departure is a buffer, as well. Buy the ENTIRE Season Pass in NETFLIX insteadI have been a fan of the Dr. Since the early 70’s and have seen all of the episodes. I really hate to say this but: Save your money, the entire season pass in NETFLIX is only 6$ so don’t waste your money on the iTunes season pass. Sure you get all the behind the scenes stuff, but the Christmas Special IS NOT included in this TV series. Unlike the BBC in England, BBC America releases the Dr. Who Christmas Specials as a separate “TV Season” in iTunes - at a huge price to the consumer - without any season number to organise it according to where it should be in relation to the rest of the series and then BBC-America and ITunes re-releases the entire season a while later with the special included, often at a discounted price! For that reason and that reason only I am rating it with 1 star.. otherwise the BBC UK (Not US) has done a wonderful job with this show - long may the Dr. reign supreme..Score: 1/5

No Longer a FanOMG! The show is ridiculous & juvenile now. This is by far the worst Doctor! Eccleston, Tennant and Smith brought youth and vitality to this show which helped revive it. Capaldi as the doctorThis is a massive departure from previous seasons of doctor who and is yet linked to them in so many ways, the doctor has changed, he no longer has the boyish charm and slapstick humor of matt smith, he now has the essence of a man who has lived for hundreds of years (ala david tennant) but a deep darkness to him (ala chris eccleston/john hurt) but he seems to nor share any of their types of humor, he is brilliant but cold, inspired but sad, grand but blunt, he will take some getting used to....Score: 4/5
